Great thick-walled stock pot
For years I've wanted to move up to a thick-walled stock pot like I used to use in the restaurants I worked in back in the day. Finally took the plunge with this one..., and so far it's really great. I've used it a couple of times for boiling shrimp, and she's a jewel. One note: When I first got it I attempted to follow the instructions on treating the pot so that it wouldn't discolor -- and in doing so discolored the interior. A little disappointed in that, but it doesn't change how well she works.

Heavy duty stock pot
This is a great pot for boiling multiple chickens at once or beef bones etc. Used it to soak 7 pounds of beans to feed 50 people and it worked perfectly

Chef quality
Having been a chef for years I sorely miss some of the equipment I took for granted. A heavy duty pot is a must have to make quality soups and sauces, especially thicker recipes as the thickness of the pot helps distribute heat more evenly and you are much less likely to scorch.

I can make sauce on the wood smoked fireplace!
My main purpose for purchasing this big pot was so that I could cook using the wood fireplace. Made a big pot of pasta sauce from scratch and cooked it for 5 hrs. outside in my back yard. It was a beautiful day out, sunshine and 89°. Got a nice tan and the smell travelled to the whole neighborhood. was able to get a lot of work done outside in between stirring the pot. The sauce was fantastic after about 5 hours of cooking. The only drawback was to clean up the soot from the wood afterwards, but hey, you cannot have it all ways. Very nice to have!

Commercial grade
Use it frequently for making stew. Thick and rugged.

Smaller than I thought it would be.
It's a decent pot, just smaller than I thought it would be. But I'll definitely use it.
