I first saw this "word clock" hanging on a wall and looked to see who manufactured it, when I found who made this wonderful clock, I also found I couldn't afford it BUT I looked on Amazon and found a very good "knock off" for a VERY reasonable price and I immediately purchased one.I like this clock, it really "talks" to me! I have purchased at least three more as gifts to special people.I am looking at mine at this very minute and it says, "IT IS TEN MINUTES TO TWELVE"!I love it!It is accurate to five minutes but HEY who cares? Any minute now, will spell out, "IT IS FIVE MINUTES TO TWELVE!And I will be informed!

So I was snorkling laughing gas in the dentist's chair as she drilled and fracked for the oil in a big molar. My dentist is a tricky one, she had this mounted on the ceiling. In my gassed state, I stared at it. And, stared some more. It was of course mesmerizing and as intended, it attracted my full attention sorting through all the possible word combinations that make it work.My anxious imagination would suggest that drilling went on for hours. But, the word clock told a different story. It didn't budge. It wasn't broken. Drill time turned out to be much quicker than the changing letter pattern on the clock. An impressive demonstration of the relative dimension of time. I complimented the dentist on the creative idea.I thought about it for a couple of days after the dentist and finally tried to find it. I searched a couple of terms that I thought would describe the device and hit the money on "Word Clock".It's a curious device. Bright enough to be legible in daylight or bright artificial light, it's quite illuminating at night. It's like a memory time stamp. I'm using it as a bathroom clock/night light.It's a typical "Sharper Image" gizmo. I like it. Hope the Xmas gift recipients enjoy it. Nice value for money. It's an item you won't forget.

The media could not be loaded. I chose to celebrate this dystopian era by turning my room into a living Black Mirror episode watching the night pass by in five minutes increments. Love the way this clock looks - only downside is the cord which takes a bit of planning to hide if you care about that.

Like this clock a lot. The brightness is not adjustable. During the day, the brightness is great. At night it is intense.

Love this clock!! I have it in my office and everyone comments on how wonderful it looks and enjoys READING the time!! It only tells time for every five minutes, I wished it read all the minutes ….but overall a GREAT BUY!!

Sturdy, easy set up, beautiful color and display. Perfect to help my 9 year old niece learn to approximate and get a feel for a sense of time

Fun, conversation starter.

Nothing really wrong with the clock. It only displays 5,10,15,20,30 minutes increments. I wouldn't purchase again.
