Nice pump! Relatively quiet. Is a washdown/transfer pump, essentially, due to it's closer tollerances in cut in/off pressures. Most marine water pumps cut off at 45 psi and cut in at 25 psi. This one is 45/30. Made for pump cycling inmy case, but installed a Shurflo accumulator tank and problem solved. Very happy with this pump.

Garden Watering
Using this for hand watering garden when not enough rain. Pick-up hose pulls water out of the lake as our garden is lakeside. Works really well plenty of power and spraying distance. Hooked it up to a two wheel cart for easy moving around. Love it.

been using this model for 28 years or so, pump water to house from cistern, 52,000 gal a year minimum. They last from 1 year to 5 years, some not so good, some are excellent.

The heart of our outdoor shower
This with a 12v deep cycle, a controller, panel, and an instant hot water heater have made our outdoor shower incredibly enjoyable. Good pressure. Which uses moderate water and controllable shower head. We have a split that we use for a hose. Definitely use a filtration system for cisterns and definitely pack it for freezing temps.

WARNING! 2 out of 2 of these industrial pumps stopped working in very short order.
This pump seemed like a good idea at the time. I was so wrong. I needed a 12 volt pump to help my water flow down a slight hill from a cistern to top off my small stock tank. The 1st one stopped working before the month was over. I called Flojets number to find out what I could do. I talked to a Mr. David Mendoza. He told me these pumps can not be used for more then 20 min. at a time. The 2nd time I talked to him he told me 15 min. tops. He racked me over the coals trying to blame the bad pump on me. Plus he has very little patience with people that ask questions. He had me send it to El Paso Texas so they can take it apart to see if they will honor their 1 year warranty. Understand I only had this pump for 1 month.Pump #2. I hooked the 2nd pump up within 1 hour of the 1st one going bad. I thought having a backup was a good idea. It was. In one week I used this pump no more then 15 min. at a time for less then 3 hours total. I was even more careful with the 2nd one. After the first one I did not want to talk to David Mendoza again. Well the bottom line is it stopped working after 3 hours of use. This one I am sending back to Amazon. No more Flojet for me. Beware. If you use these pumps they will not last.

got to love the surflow 12 volt pumps
I live off grid and got to love the extra gallons per minute!! it is most noticeable in the shower, and I have ran surflow pumps for over twenty five years in my shack in Hawaii ,and I'm thinking this will be my third ,and I could have put a rebuild kit in the last one but went for this bigger pump

Good unit for my 500 sq ft cabin
I liked the water pressure of this unit. I would recommend adding a small 20 gallon pressurepump with it and lots of sound blocking material around it because it is a very loud pump.
