Flexibility
Great little device with excellent clamping force and grip strength. It has so many different joints that is will work in almost any situation where it is needed. I've now used it multiple times to hold boards that I needed to cut to specific lengths. Such a use is probably nearing the limits of this little gem but it performed admirably. I'm using it this way because we live in an apartment with limited "shop" type space. I highly recommend this product and look forward to using it in the manner for which it is more suited - smaller projects.

Be mindful of where and what you're clamping to
Since I received it in April I've had this clamped to one of those collapsible folding tables you might take camping - said table is made of sturdy, thick plastic and metal, used solely in my crafting room. Nothing has been spilled on or near this clamp, and while it seems sturdy and has held up under the minor use its seen (holding small resin works still so I can drill jump ring holes) I took it off the table today to move it and found it's stained the surface underneath. Would caution others to maybe put something between the clamp and the surface you're clamping to, or else only clamp this to something you don't mind potentially being stained or "ruined." Luckily this is a work table that's not meant to remain pristine so not the biggest deal for me personally but it might be for others.

Great adjustable clamp
Was just what I was looking for. Needed a clamp for a tabletop that would allow me to adjust the angle of the clamp. Works great.

Poorly made and does not function as described.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Poorly made vise. Will not stay together. The ball literally falls out of the socket. The ball and socket aren’t smooth so they catch and stick making small movements impossible. It also doesn’t not allow you to tighten the adjustments very tight. Would not recommend for any purpose.

Works pretty good, quality is just OK
You get what you pay for, and this is a case of good value for the dollar, but the quality of the vise is from the lower end of the spectrum. The vise attaches to a table 2 inches thick and holds items 2 inches wide fairly well. The swivel ball is pretty stiff and allows you to move the item as needed when you have it at the right resistance - making it easy to get it in a better position for soldering in a new spot for example. The rubber foot works well for the top side of the table to prevent scuffing, and keeps it sturdy without having to really clamp it down hard. The under side is steel, so that end might dig in. The jaws have rubber protectors and work well to prevent damage to the clamped item, and have a little give allowing you to not have to clamp down too hard which is nice. They may need replacement over time, so not sure how to get those when needed.Going to knock it a couple of stars (but for the price, not too worried about it) for fit and finish issues. The parts are coated in grey paint, and it's inconsistent across the parts. The molds or finishing process have numerous imperfections making it look like it's well worn in the shop, sort of used (see pics) - again, not a big deal, it is a vice. The jaw will fall on your toe if you open it all the way, there is no stop - when you go beyond the size it can hold, one side will detach. Hope all this helps.

Quality, solid bench vice at a great price!
This came in a box that is all in German, and has a solid build to it that is consistent with what I would expect out of a German-made item. It is good-sized and does everything as listed and shown in the listing photos. There weren't any directions in the box, but if you are a DIY kind of person, it shouldn't be hard for you to figure it out. I would grade it a medium level bench vice, definitely WAY above those 'toy' vices made in China that are small as the palm of your hand and pretty flimsy. For most 'not-large or really heavy' DIY projects, I think it would be fine, and for the price you can't beat it. It's a Prime item and mine came overnight, with a $25 total purchase.Update: I have used the vice several times now. I saw some of the recent critical reviews over the last 6 months about falling apart, poor craftmanship, junk, made in China etc. I just don't see it. This is a great product and everything about it is strong and firm and easily manipulates to any sort of tile or position you want and tightens down with no issues. And no way is this made in China. I think maybe some people just want to say bad things because they can or they have other motivations. This is supported by the fact of the majority of the reviews being stellar. I would ignore the odd pennies. BTW, if it arrives looking like they sent you a used or returned one, don't whine about it, send it back for a free replacement, it's a Prime item!
