The APAWR Lighthouse Building Block set was a nice, smooth mini build. I've been building these often enough now that they are not as difficult as they were at the beginning. A great set for a cityscape!

There were some pieces missing but made it work.

If you have not seen yet, this is a mini build so it will innate come with its own challenges that all mini sets do. If you are aware of all those then this set is pretty good.-It came in well packaged and in perfect shape with no missing pieces.–The pieces were separated into numbered bags that went with that same numbered step.-The instructions are fairly well done. Some colors are a bit hard to distinguish. Some steps really make you ask “Why did we do it this way”. Some pages are a bit cramped with steps.-Would definitely not suggest it for young builders.-The finished set does match the listing photos perfectly.Again as long as you are familiar with all the quirks of working with Mini bricks it is not a bad set.

This was picked up as a part of my MINI brick cityscape, specifically my harbor. This set IS NOT compatible with most major brands of bricks but IS compatible with other brands of MINI bricks. The instructions were easy to follow and I didn't encounter difficulties, however this is a set for the more experienced or older builder. The quality is amazing and a lot of detail went into it. The cost of the set is AMAZING, especially when compared to the "big boys" :)Overall, I would highly recommend this set for any experienced or older builders into the city building and especially into harbor diorama's. I will be looking for more sets from this company as a backup for my usual source.Happy building :)

Likes:"awesome putting it together"Took up to two hours to build, so it lasts a good while.It just looks good!Challenges:Chain was difficult to figure out. (Hold a link flat on your finger and press the opening of a second chain against the opening of the chain on your finger. They'll pop together easily)The light on the lighthouse took a little bit to figure out - Inside the cap to the light piece there are two sets of male and female parts. Place the thicker male part between the metal plate and the plastic wall. This forces the metal plate against the batteries.Dislikes:Two pieces were misshapen - one was forced into position. The other one was barely recognizable and had to get creative on how to skip using it.

It was certainly fun to put together with the small pieces being a very different feel from regular legos. I like it enough as a display item and the pieces are essentially perfect recreations of regular lego, but I wouldn’t pay $30 for it again, if it was on sale for 20 or even 25 I say go for it. Just know it isn't lego sized.
