I have two of these and have recommended several others to buy them. It allows us to check in on our house when we are off traveling. As long as I have a cell signal I can check on the house. I haven't used the auto alarm and humanoid recognition features, but I suspect they will work fine. The only issue I had was with the trans flas slot. First I looked all over and couldn't find it. The instructions don't help either. In a video for a different Vstarcam camera the person showed to tilt the movable camera head up to expose it. I did that and sure enough there it was. I inserted the trans flash which promptly fell right through. I had to take the camera apart to get it back out. finally after making sure the angle was exactly correct, I got the card in. Setup was easy and the App was easy as wellThis is my second set of Cameras from Vstarcam. the first set I purchased in 2011 and used them until 2020. I changed my router which no longer supported wifi B. So new cameras were needed.I had no issues with the cameras or software in that 10 year period.Overall a great product and I would reccommend it

Purchased this item, I have been unable to use it since I Purchased it. There is no way for me to connect it to my phone or see anything. Totally useless and I am unable to return it or get a replacement.

Satisfactory purchase

I bought the first one and had a hard time trying to program it so I didn't know if it Was no good, but then they sent me another one. And i'm having the same problem, but this product I try over and over to figure it out and I have no luck with this.

The camera itself is awesome. The issue you are going to have is the wifi! I bought 2 and both will not stay connected after making it's initial connection using their preferred network settings. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Do not buy! Oh, also if you want more storage and you love in the US, your only option is PayPal. You can't pay for more longer storage retention otherwise through the app. The other cameras that use this app work fine, some of the best. But not this cameras. Absolute nightmare! I would ask for my money back but I'm so pissed at these people that I don't even want to talk to them. They knew, from looking at the comments they had a wifi issue but they are still selling them! DO NOT BUY!!!

It was a great deal considering the price I paid.I thought it was going to be a little smaller but it's still perfect for what I'm going to use it for inside a woodpeckers nest. Also I received it really quickly even right after having a major Hurricane. Thanks for getting it here fast.

even without the subscription, it’s amazing imo. especially for my needs, and especially when you consider that it’s literally only 13 dollars.quality is good for the price, there isn’t much delay when viewing the camera from the app, motion-detection notifications are quick, and when you receive a motion-detection notification the notification itself shows a picture of what the camera saw at the time, even if you don’t have the cloud subscription, which is great if something happens while you’re unable to use your phone. you can also control the sensitivity of the motion-detectionand of course, it’s even better with the subscription. the subscription is also pretty cheap, but I haven’t tried it yet so I won’t review that part (might edit after I use it)Edit: after a few months of using it with the subscription, I’m changing my rating from a 5 star to 2 stars. It just feels so wasteful spending $4 a month for a service that is worth way less than that. It’s not like cloud service is always saving footage 24/7, it’s just saving footage from when it detects movement.Speaking of detecting movement, the motion detection feels like it’s less sensitive now. It used to capture every single tiny movement, but now, even on the highest sensitivity setting, it sometimes doesn’t even activate the camera at all, which is obviously horrendously bad for security and also means I’m wasting $4 dollars a month on the subscription since it only activates when motion is detected.It should be at least free to have cloud videos saved for a day, since the videos barely even take up a few megabytes. I would probably give it 3 or 4 stars if it had that.

I wish I could put half a star, it was delivered on time. But after charging it for the entire day it won't turn on. What a waist of time and money.
