MIRACLE BOXES OF FRESHNESS
To start, you should know that I’m a crazy plant-based fiend. I devour more delicious plants in one day than most people eat in a month. Until I found these magic boxes, my refrigerator was a jumble of mounds of various types of produce enshrouded in plastic bags, piled on the shelves and in the drawers. Invariably, things would get forgotten in the back of drawers or under the shelf-mounds, and eventually I’d find soggy bags of rotting zucchini or whatever that turned my stomach and insulted my nostrils. After reading the reviews of this product, I ordered the 5-piece set and crossed my fingers. THE FIRST SHIPMENT WAS DEFECTIVE. One of the boxes was cracked, and another one had a broken air vent dial. I returned it and re-ordered. The second shipment was perfect—PLUS, it was the UPDATED product line with vent flaps instead of dials. I quickly filled all the boxes. Over the next week, I closely monitored the freshness of all my various items. Everything from the red leaf lettuce, cilantro, parsley and kale (in the large box) to the zucchini and Persian cukes (in a medium one), to the berries (blueberries in one, raspberries and blackberries combined in another box), to the carrots, fennel, scallions and ginger in the second medium box, was absolutely at peak freshness. I was so thrilled that I knew I needed more. I ordered the “long produce box” from Amazon, which holds three full bunches of celery (I juice a bunch of celery every morning), and I bought another berry keeper and a medium produce keeper on sale at Macy’s (40% off). My refrigerator is now perfectly organized, and I know exactly where each item is. I no longer have to dig through piles of mystery produce in plastic bags every day when I make my huge salad. And far less stuff is being thrown into the compost bucket. In fact, nothing has gone bad since receiving the first set on 1/21/25. All the produce boxes fit on the shelves. The berry keepers are in one produce drawer. I use my remaining produce drawer for things like apples and large items like red cabbage, beets and cauliflower. It’s important to read the storage instructions on the lids, so that you store items with similar needs in the same box. The lids are very tight-fitting, and it takes a minute to figure out the best way to open them. Also, if your box has water in the bottom tray, move slowly and keep the box level when transferring in and out of the fridge so the water doesn’t drip all over the place. A friend sent me a photo of a 3-piece set on sale at Costco, but it’s the old design with the vent dials. Before I bought the first set, I read in the Amazon reviews that a lot of people had issues with broken dials. Macy’s has the new design. Not sure if Amazon is still selling both versions.

Preserved our fruit and veggies!
We have tried mulitple containers that claim to make fruit or vegetables last longer but did not seem to do much it still went bad within days. These containers make our fruit and veggies last at least 1.5-2 weeks. Love the venting systems and clear instructions on the lids make it so easy and fool proof.

Happy with these!
I feel like these do help keep my food fresh longer! The directions on each lid is helpful. The lids are sometimes tough to get off but that's only because they're tight to keep items fresh. These would not work for someone with limited hand mobility, would be too challenging to open.

No more throwing out produce!
My mom had these when I went home to visit and raved about them so I thought I would give them a chance. Being a recently empty nester, we don't go through food like we did when a teenage boy was in the house. I like to buy the baby greens mixed salad but unless you are prepared to eat it every day, it would always go bad before we could finish it. After putting it in this container and following the directions on the lid, we then ended up going on vacation a week later. I came home fully expecting to find completely spoiled lettuce in the container but it was still in great shape and we had it for dinner that night. I have two complaints, when you add water to the base, it is not sealed so you have to be very careful not to tip when taking in and out of the fridge. Also, they don't nest well so when they aren't in use, they take up a lot of storage space. But I am enjoying having all of my produce survive longer!
