GatoradePropel Zero Powder Packets Grape, 10-Count (Pack of 6)

I live in a very dry area and it is hard to stay hydrated. My massage therapist told me about this product and I have used it for several years. It tastes great and in addition to plain water just adds another option to my daily hydration. It comes in several different flavors but Rasberry Lemonade is my personal favorite.

This stuff is fantastic. You are supposed to drink ounces of water equal to half your body weight in pounds. Since I weigh 210 pounds I need to drink at least 103 ounces per day (just over 3 quarts). I have a 32 ounce Contego water bottle (if you don't have this, get it). I like water but not 3-4 quarts a day. With the propel zero it is easy to do. I feel this stuff is too expensive to drink at home where I can make a big pitcher of crystal light, but on the road this stuff is amazing. I put two packets in my 32 ounce bottle and fill from a water fountain. it is colorless so it doesn't stain if I spill and it tastes great. Nowhere near as strong as grape crystal light but gives the water a slightly sweet grape taste. I have been drinking this for over a year and never get tired of it. The only negative I can think of is once in a while the packets don't tear open easily but usually they do since they are pre-scored on one end. 10 packets per box means one box makes 5 quarts.

There are an increasing number of products on the market to flavor water, all of which make it harder to find Propel powder in stores. I find Propel better than the competition in three ways:1. It tastes good. This is also true of some other water flavorings, but many have a more artificial taste, particularly those attempting to provide mega-doses of vitamins. I think this is true of all the Propel flavors, but Raspberry Lemonade and Cherry Lime are my favorites.2. A good combination and amount of vitamins. Many other flavorings have no vitamins at all, or attempt to provide mega-doses. This has 25% of the daily value for B5, B6 and Niacin; 20% for vitamin C, 10% of E, and 4% of B-12. It does not attempt to be your sole source of vitamins, but it is useful to have a few vitamins is water drunk between meals or while active.3. NO FOOD COLORING. This is where Propel powder is virtually unique. I am not a fanatic opponent of food coloring. I do understand that they probably do most people no harm, and can make some foods look more appetizing. But why add food coloring when the alternative is leaving the water looking like water? Propel dissolves cleanly into water leaving no color.There must be people that like coloring their water, as all the other major brands include food coloring, and even Propel has added color to its liquid water flavoring drops. However for me for lack of food coloring remains a major advantage of Propel powder.

I drink propel every day since it does a lovely job of making my water tasty! Plus I pour it into a cute glass and drink it on the rocks! Anything to get the water down!!

Why can't I find these at Target anymore? I recently read an article saying the big box stores are doomed, and this is just one more reason for me to not go there. I can't drink water without a Propel packet, and these really help me get in about 90 ounces each day. Great flavor, not "dry" like Crystal Light or chalky like the Mio drops. My only complaint is that I wish it wasn't zero-calorie; it used to be sweetened with sugar and had about 5 calories - you can literally do one pushup to work that off if you were so inclined. The problem with the artificial sweetener that is used now is that it doesn't mix well in cold water. I have to mix it in 30 ounces of room temperature water, shake it up, then add ice. Easy at home, not so easy on the go.

Read The Label: Vitamin C 40% DV (daily value), Vit E 50%, Niacin 50%, B6 50%, B12 8%, Pantothenic Acid 50%.Propel is the best stuff I know of out there. Gatorade was an ancient attempt at what the same company has achieved 40 years later. I drink at work in the afternoon and before and after I go running. It gives me energy before I run and replenishes me after I return. Cuts down on muscle fatigue. My caffeine consumption is down 70% since I was turned on to this. Packets save big bucks. Add water, shake. I use 2 packets for 16 oz. Tastes good and not too sweet. I buy it in bulk now. TRY THIS
