Highly recommended from a professional mechanic
I've been a mechanic for over 20 years and I'm very happy with this product. I've used this tool for testing many things and it seems to be very accurate and holding up well. It even took a tumble off and engine compartment I picked it right back up and they was no problems with it

Cheep but does the job
I liked the price, and it worked as well as the high priced one, For checking the run out of a drill press chuck it told me that I needed a new chuck.

You get what you pay for
I'm neutral on this indicator. Other reviews fairly capture the lower quality of this unit compared to more expensive options. As a DIYer I don't need that kind of precision. Was a little disappointed with how tight some of the adjusting clamps are, but maybe they'll loosen up with use, and it's a minor inconvenience given my infrequent use. The case is very cheap. The first one arrived damaged so I sent it back and ordered another. It came with similar damage and I decided just to accept the damage.

Perfect for DIY
This was a good price for my use. I needed this to measure the play on the front wheel bearings for my car (Mercedes W212 chassis, RWD). I was not very comfortable with some recommendations of adjusting without it. I re-packed the bearings with grease and adjusted by specifications of .01 to .02 tolerance. I know I will eventually have to replace the bearings (maybe in another 12k miles?) but this is ok for now. I have to save money where I can.

Handle not tapped properly, rendering device useless.
Interestingly, they seemed to have gotten all of the tricky bits correct with the dial, and failed on something that is the most simple. The handle that is used to attach the dial to the horizontal shaft is tapped incorrectly, leading to a loose fitting that immediately strips out. The screw does not have sufficient contact to tighten properly, leading to a sloppy fit that leaves the device hanging limp.Magnet worked fine, dial was reasonably accurate, but the handle tightening connections are unacceptably bad.
