Easy insall, durable, and worth it.
Big tip: If you think your cables are too short (mine were not) slip your handlbars over it BEFORE putting it on. Saves about 2 inches of initial raising. It was a very easy install. The weight of it was more than I thought, as some reviews said otherwise. Pretty solid. I had no trouble tightening it, or over tightening it. It was a very, very tight fit and I had to hammer it on down with a rubber mallet. Caution: If it is tight on yours, be sure it is lined up before slamming it down. It is very hard to twist off. I did not twist it off to realign it, just used a piece of wood and hammer. It does not matter anyway if this is out of alignment, as that only affects the look. (Of course you align the handlebars!) You can use all the spacers, and tightening your handlbars with a little space is below the top is fine. My bars had good bolts and grabbed. Like I said, don't worry about over-tightening and stripping it. Just do it hand tight, and a small amount more. If it does strip, no big deal. You can buy bolts and nuts that would go through just fine at home depot. But it was a tight fit on mine and would probably hold without even tightening! But I would not recommend this! Anyway, it is a solid deal. And get this: Once this is in place, if you want to go even higher, NOW you can buy the adjustable ones and install easily over this one....I might do that in the future.

Works Well
Made my handle bar about 3" taller. The included screw fit perfectly. You'll need Allen head wrenches. Be patient with the cables and don't tug on them.

Big relief for my bad back
Considering the low price of this, I was skeptical that it would be any good but I couldn't be happier. It took only a few minutes to put on and it raised my bars by 5 inches which was a huge relief on my aching back. I highly recommend this item.

Worth Every Penny - If You Need To Shift Weight Off of Hands
Application: Installed on Specialized Women's Rockhopper converted to eBike.Height: 138mmInstallation: Because of the length of the existing cables, some or all, of the cables (F/R brakes, derailleur(s)) may have to be disconnected to allow enough "reach" to install the stem extension. I tried a 180mm, and I would have needed to make all new cables to allow it to work properly. I needed a 140mm, which seems to be an uncommon extension, and this was the only item listed as Amazon that was close to 140mm. The fit at the socket seems a little tight, and the "filler/spacer rings" didn't exactly work out with the clamping area of the handlebar stem. But it was workable without too much trouble - And is much easier, and less expensive, than a handlebar change-out, which I tried but didn't work out because of the straight length available on the replacement handlebars. Why ?: My wife was having hand and wrist pain with the standard handlebars. Increasing the handlebar height shifts weight off of the hands and wrists - and more weight on the seat. This is not quite a "cruiser" configuration, but not nearly as aggressive (forward) as a trail/mountain bike, probably similar to a hybrid configuration. How'd It Work ?: Based on the first test rides, it is a noticeable reduction on the pressure on the wrists and hands - so for the intended purpose, I'd call it a 100% success for a very small price. My wife is very pleased with the result.Caveats: (1) This shifts the CG of the rider/bike rearward slightly. This does not appear to be a problem for casual road, or non-technical trails. It might be for more technical trails and aggressive riding - more forward CG promotes stability, rearward is less stable. Since this is an eBike with a rear battery, it is more noticeable. (2) The more upright riding position is less efficient because of wind resistance and body/bike geometry pedaling.None of this is to reflect upon the product itself negatively, it is the trade-off of shifting weight rearward and off of the hands wrists.

Works as designed, easy to install
This bike handlebar extender works very well. I like the fact that it is all black and matches the existing stem. It was easy to install, and raised the handlebars to a height that made the bike more comfortable to ride for my 10 year-old great-nephew.

Great extension for your steering post!
Lighter weight than other brands. I shopped around for the lightest example I could find in this length. No one wants to add unnecessary weight to their ride. This did the trick, and it’s staying on my bike.Lots of adjustments for height. Great clamping ability. Black finish appears powder coated so it’s tough and durable. Very happy with the product.

Much more comfortable
Made a great difference in riding comfortably and easy to install. I have a Fuji Absolute one.3, and will probably fit most bikes.
