AS GOOD AS THEY GET
I have a security business and install a lot of camera systems. This Ideal connector is the ONLY connector I will use, period! There also the most expensive and I am not in a position to throw $$ around but there worth the additional cost. Failure rate is high as far as BNC connectors however not with this connector thanks to the window allowing the position of the cable to be seen and corrected if needed. If your new and have not done this purchase these, a good crimper and striper. Then watch the video Ideal has or did have on there web site on how to correctly put these on. Worst case read the instructions!! After a few you will love them like I/we do ; )

we have used many different BNC connectors and the Ideal ...
we have used many different BNC connectors and the Ideal brand without question in my mind stand far above the rest.We tried using a cheaper brand and while they do work we found that we would have to replace a just crimped connection because they were not making contact due to design tolerances the hole for the RG-59 cable varied from connector to connector, so while the Ideal connectors are much more expensive we actually saved money by using them. they take less time and we achieved a 100% crimp success rate. whereas the other much cheaper connectors had a success rate of 50 - 50

Works well when it works
I've been using these for a couple of years now. I've had quite a few fail to make a connection, and some that failed a week or so after (and it was due to not fitting on all the way). It could be that our Belden RG59 coax is too old to let the connector slip on securely, most of it was installed 14 years ago, but the old 3-piece crimp style connectors never fail with the same cable. These compression connectors are great for F-style, but the BNC ones seem to fail a lot. I can't trust them anymore.

Very good connectors
I had tried a number of cheaper products with varying success but after trying these I would highly recommend them. I especially like the transparent viewing area that allows you to see if you have the coax inserted all the way. I use the Klein compression tool and have had excellent success. I have read reviews that said that they have problems getting the coax completely seated and I think they might be trying to get RG6 cable into the fitting, Ideal makes a RG6 fitting which is equally satisfying.

I love the ability to see how far my cable is ...
I love the ability to see how far my cable is inserted into the connector. I started using these connectors about 3 years ago and haven't used anything thing else since. Termination with these are a lot faster and easier making my job more efficient. They are solid connectors and have never failed once from I started using them and I use these every week and sometime in tough ocean air conditions.

Ideal BNC compression/Paladin 1555 compression tool
These worked better than expected. I used a paladin sealtite universal compression tool 1555 that worked with no issues using this brand of connectors. These bnc's made it easy to complete two camera installs easy so far. I also liked the window that is provided that allows u to see the insulation of the wire has bottomed out inside then BNC before crimping.

Good enough
I'm a security professional. I'm using these on daily bases. compression connectors deliver better signal and tight fit over the coax cable. my favorite connector is SCP-923-59 but they jacked the price to over 2.50 so I had to find alternative. These turn out to work well, gold plated on center pin, works good. looks like I found my new connector for the tool box. these are 1.40ea so its def affordable. and Ideal been around for a while so I'm confident I will be able to buy same connector in the future.
