Doesn't taste much but very healthy and gives great texture to smoothies etc. I include it every day in my routine. Good packaging as easy to close and store.

Spectrum Organic Ground Chia Seed: Good for your health
Spectrum Essentials Organic Ground Chia Seed: I first started buying this product a few years ago. You can mix it into smoothies, kefir or yogurt, to add some Omega 3 fatty acids and fiber. It is also Fair Trade certified, which is personally important to me. You could likely add it to baked goods as well, but that is not something i have attempted, as of yet. Since this is ground chia, it will not have the crunchy texture of whole chia seeds - which for some people may be a plus, and others not - tastes and preferences obviously differ. All in all, a good organic product to add to your diet. Also, if you are lucky enough to have a horse in your life, it is good for them as well!

Nutty Flavor and Great for Smoothies
I like chia seeds, but having the ground Chia seeds are a game changer for smoothies. It actually helps thicken the smoothie a bit which I like and it’s an easy way to add in the health benefits of Omega 3’s and also a good source of natural energy. The texture is similar to ground flax in my opinion and I think it’s good quality and a solid value for money, especially when on sale.

Healthier to eat than whole chia seeds if you have dental problems
Ground chia seeds can be a healthier way to eat chia seeds than whole chia seeds. This would be especially true for old people who suffer from poor dental performance. Even people who are blessed with excellent chewing abilities are shocked when they see that aboult half of the chia seeds that they had eaten yesterday are still completely intact and undigested in their bowel movements.Chia seeds are just as healthy for us to eat as ground flaxseeds or whole pumpkin seeds and about half as healthy for us to eat as foods made from soybeans such as natto (healthiest), tofu, unsweetened soymilk, edamame, soy sprouts, soy flour, soy meat, soy yogurt, etc.The chia seed industry makes the unfortunate mistake of trying to sell their chia seeds by saying that they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Only about 5% of the short-chain omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is plentiful in both chia seeds and flaxseeds, can be converted by the human body into the extremely beneficial, marine, long-chain omega-3 fatty acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Much less than 1% of the ALA can be converted into the even more beneficial, marine, long-chain omega-3 fatty acid, docosapentaenoic acid (DHA). Thus, eating fish or swallowing fish oil softgels remain the 2 healthiest ways to get enough omega-3s.Chia seeds and ground flaxseeds are both rich in cancer-preventing lignans, cholesterol-lowering phytosterols, longevity-promoting phytate, other antioxidants, soluble fiber, insoluble fiber, and beneficial probiotic bacteria, including lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, and Bacillus subtilis.

Easy way to add fiber
Love chia seeds (especially ground chia seeds) because they are easy to add to smoothies, oatmeal etc! It’s a good way to boost fiber. They don’t have much of a taste and the ground chia seats are as much of a jelly consistency as the full seed!

Easy to use
I like that this comes in a zip-lock type bag to keep product fresh. I had researched Chia seed consumption & found our bodies absorb more of their nutrients when we consume them ground (same w/flax seeds by the way) and I had no desire to make chia seed pudding, so ground is what I decided on. This product is easy to use, I just toss 2 Tbs in my veggie smoothies and blend and this just blends right in so not noticeable when drinking! And they're organic so even better!!
