Essential to have for comfortable walks
The piggyback rider is really surfen for the little kids to rest and they really like the standing position. But without the hip support it is pretty heavy so in my opinion the best way to use the rider is with the hip support so not all the weight is on your shoulders.

Does not work well
This and the other product that connects to it don’t work very well. The bar flips and the kid falls off, but there are strapped to you so they don’t fall. Had to return and get refunded. All of that went well. Was so disappointed.

Terrific support!
The belt really made all the difference. It helped distribute my sons weight and also allowed better support!

Good for people with no hips
I purchased the belt to have more back support because I purchased it for a very tall, 45 pound 4 year old (practically the size of a 6 year old). After trying it out I found that it doesn't really work for my body type. Having really high hips means that the belt has to be above my belly button, then the kid is extremely taller than you which isn't safe. And lowering the belt to where it should rest on someone without hips makes the top of the back bulge out from the weight at the bottom by the bar. I'd rather just deal with the weight on my shoulders because it was to much of a hassle.I gave this 3 stars because I'm sure it may work for other smaller children and/or parents that have a different body type, it just didn't work out for me though.

Support
Adding this support belt to our piggyback rider was great. My husband has small back problems but with this he said that he could barely feel our four year on his back when using the piggyback rider. It provides great support.
