Can't go wrong with purchasing this cutter
This is the best thing ever. We have a ton of boxes from moving. Some we were able to give away for others to reuse.. Some were just to big to reuse. This cutter did the job so quick for cutting the larger boxes down to a size we can put in our trash or down to a size they would pick up for recycle. Cutting up the boxes take so much less space then trying to fold them. It is definitely an great product. So far it has cut a LOT of boxes and still on the original blade and charge. Definitely very happy with this purchase as it did not disappoint.

Amazing!
I received this tool yesterday and put it on the charger overnight, knowing I had lots box cutting to do in the morning. The mission: Costco boxes, and plenty of them! We recently ordered several items online (including a foam mattress, along with a bed frame, and they were in giant boxes). As you might expect from Costco, the packaging was very sturdy. No problem, the Zipsnip made short work of them, so now the cardboard fits in the recycle dumpster. Now, if you have boxes to cut-up that exceed 1/4" in thickness, this tool probably won't be of use. The design limits the depth of material that the cutter can handle.Other than that limitation, it is a breeze to use and a whole lot safer and easier than a utility knife.

This is definitely worth it! Should have bought sooner!
I looked at several different models, watched videos and noticed some of the cutters were frequently returned. While this is on to upper end of the price range, the difference is price is worth it. Right out of the box I went to work on a bunch of Amazon boxes and clamshell packaging. It really made quick work of it. I used to use a box cutter on an old ply wood to cut down and that would leave little cardboard particles everywhere. This leaves no debris behind and it works really quickly, cutting thru even the thicker cardboard. I highly recommend this I only wish I had purchased it years ago.

If the guide will fit, it will cut.
cuts most boxes, good along fold seams, even gets labels or taped, heavy duty double folded boxes (the type that hold produce) that are often used at my local club store not so good, the guide while protecting your fingers won't allow the blade to get to the box, some thick corners are an issue too. That said, beats a knife or scissors, fairly quiet, the pets don;t leave the area when its in use, and its easy to press the safety and pull the trigger with one hand while holding the box/cardboard in the otherIf the guide could be opened a little bit further, just to get a start on dbl thick or corners,it would be perfect, Even with that short coming it still a good unit, and I can get more in my recycle bin, and out of the garage.

Effortless Cutting Power in a Compact Package
The Worx Zipsnip Cordless Electric Scissors are a surprisingly powerful tool in a compact form. They cut through cardboard, fabric, and plastic with ease, saving considerable time on craft or packaging tasks. The noise level is very low, making them ideal for indoor use without disturbance. Battery life is solid, lasting through multiple projects on a single charge. The build quality feels durable, and the included safety blades and storage bag add convenience. These scissors can handle thick materials with no strain, making them both practical and long-lasting. A great investment for efficiency and ease.

Makes short work of the never ending pile of cardboard boxes we all get when shopping online
This product is a must for anyone who struggles breaking down the cardboard that accompanies receiving parcels by mail. For too long my poor aging mother had to pay someone to perform this task for her. She just didn't have the strength to do it with traditional box cutter. Now she's got the lot of them broken down and ready for the trash in a snap. Solid build quality and each charge lasts an adequate amount of time in between charges..

Beware--New Location of Lock-out Switch
I've ordered and loved using two of these units in the past. Both of them had the lock-out switch up on top of the unit within very easy reach of the thumb. Operating those units was very easy and intuitive due to the logical placement of the two controls needed to turn them on and start cutting. However, when I ordered a third unit, I didn't notice that the start button on top had been moved down to the bottom-side, which requires you to stop, look for the switch, stretch your thumb awkwardly down to push the switch while your fingers grip the long second switch bar at the bottom of the unit in order to get the unit to turn on. Had I noticed this new feature, I never would have bought the unit. One other annoying thing is that the connector for the power is no longer a standard micro-USB, but instead it's something that is non-standard (with its own transformer "brick") which means I can't charge it like my existing rotary cutter using a simple cable with USB-A at one end and micro-USB at the other. Guess I'll try to return it and buy a similar unit from another manufacturer who's design is like what I'm used to. If I can't return it, perhaps I'll look into finding a way to force the side lock-out switch/button to stay permanently pressed in.
