Apple 13" MacBook Pro M1 2020 Laptop WORKS PERFECT!
I'm a nursing school student and I needed a lot of screen space because I have to research, reference and write papers simultaneously which is easier to do if I can see everything at once. I purchased a small single non-HD monitor to help and was using a j5 Create dongle to connect to the monitor, but still didn't have enough space. So I decided to make a significant upgrade and purchased a 27" 4k HD monitor from a local computer store and purchased another j5 Create dongle as they said it would work. So I plugged both dongles in, but unfortunately my laptop was incapable of running both monitors at the same time! I needed a "work around" since I found out that my M1 laptop is incapable of running two monitors at the same time so I researched my options and came across the DisplayLink software website and searched out where I could purchase the correct module, Amazon was the place! So, just a heads up, you can't simply download the software and try to run two j5 Creative dongles at the same time or even a single dongle from J5 Creative that has 2 or more HDMI inputs, it doesn't work that way. Also, people are freaked out when you install the software and it asks for permission to "RECORD YOUR SCREEN," well, the module and software need to do that because it's grabbing that info and sending it to to module with a super short delay that's virtually unnoticeable unless you decide to play video games, but I just need this for papers and such. Your computer isn't transmitting your screen data to DisplayLink, it's capturing your screen info, processing it and sending it to the module to do all the splitting and to do its thing.I purchased the cheaper module out of the three options as I'm running one 4k HD monitor and 21" SD monitor in addition to my laptop screen. So the end result is 3-screens, all with different desktop images, and you're NOT stuck with a "mirrored" screen, you get the true 3-screen experience! It works perfect with my laptop. I can also stream music videos from YouTube and watch them in 4k on the one monitor while running a bunch of programs at one time and moving from one monitor to the other and have no skips or weird things going on with the video. The only thing I think I could ding against this product is that if I try to run the video full screen on the 4k monitor it might lose some resolution, but considering how much work this software and module is doing, that's pretty amazing!I would highly recommend using this product if you're planning a setup like mine, but if you have two 4k HD monitors, you'll probably need to go to the second or 3rd more expensive optional modules to run those displays. I'm very happy with this purchase and it works perfect for my needs!

Works great for MacBook Pro 16
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I replaced a full tower gaming pc with my MacBook and this gave me all my screen space back with a simple plug and play after installing their driver.

Killed My MacBook Screen in 2 Hours
This dock completely wrecked my MacBook Pro’s display setup. After installing the required DisplayLink driver, my internal screen went permanently black. External monitors only showed wallpaper — no windows, no Dock, no way to recover without hours of troubleshooting.DisplayLink fakes extra monitors by hijacking your Mac’s display system, and it does not play nice with macOS. Even uninstalling didn’t fix things right away. I had to reboot in clamshell mode just to get my desktop back.Avoid this dock if you're using macOS. Spend more for a Thunderbolt dock that actually works.

Fantastic Support
This docking station has made my life SO MUCH easier. I've connected three monitors to my Microsoft Surface Go 3 and plugged in my USB keyboard, all to the docking station. I had some trouble getting my computer to wake up from Sleep mode, which the Plugable support team helped me resolve. The Plugable customer support team was FANTASTIC! Microsoft could take lessons on how best to support customers!!

Its ok but mislabled.
First if you're just trying to get 2 monitors with your M1 macbook air, this is the one. Displaylink is working and it seems to handle a 1440p and 1080P just fine. check other reviews for different resolutions as this i what I use for work and have no need for 4k/5k monitors. If you have an older laptop with thunderbolt 3 its hit or miss. A 5 year old Z book was able to get the first monitor but not the 2nd. running a USB-c from the 2nd monitor to the 2nd port of the zbook directly worked just fine so I'm not sure what specific incompatibility it was, but it wasn't that the laptop couldn't handle it. Probably has something to do with displaylink.Power delivery is not 100w. to the laptop its 60w. IF they add the power to various usb ports to the running total, its till not 100W as the adapter is 20v*4.5A for a total of 90W

Awesome, but head's up on cable length
This is exactly what I needed! I appreciated how easy it was to set up and the fact it came with everything I needed. The 6 USB ports are located in convenient locations for attaching what I need. I haven't noticed any lag in the USB ports or with the video. The only wish I had was that it came with a longer Thunderbolt cable to connect my laptop. It's a rather short cord and requires the computer to be fairly close to the docking station.
