This removes the majority of the chlorine smell. Water softeners are roach magnets, so we detached it from the loop. Also helps pull out some scaling minerals too. Change once every six months as directed. Toss immediately after boil water notices, etc.

It is my habit to order a replacement filter cartridge each time I change-out the old one. I am pleased with the product - the filters really work well. My complaint was that when I received the new replacement cartridge, it was enclosed in a plastic bag with a label that didn't explain what it was ... the label simply had a bar code and some numbers. Previously, when I've ordered a replacement, it comes in a metallic sleeve with details of what's inside. The first photo is of the way I received the new cartridge and the second photo us the way they were previously sent. I put the replacement on a shelf and it's important that it be properly labeled so I know what it is.

Easy installation. Unless like me, you have the worst timing and luck in the universe and find out that you kitchen sink isn't like any others because the person that built it was a scab contractor on meth. After having my kitchen sink waterline fixed, I was able to install this in a about 5 minutes. Read the instructions. It's drinking water. It matters a lot if you're not trying to die. My city has "The cleanest water in the USA" according to a few news article that went viral a couple years back. Guess they didn't test the water in my neighborhood. Yeah, our water is clean. Before it runs through grips of rusted and busted pipes and is exposed to sewage and groundwater. Then it comes out looking like that coffee from Monster's Inc.This filter works great for me. I just take a peek at it every month to see how bad it is. Sometimes it only lasts a couple months, but usually I get 3-4. It depends on the water quality, and that changes. So take these reviews with a grain of salt. It won't detoxify swamp water or remove the chlorine from pool water lol. It's not a survival filter. It's meant for cold, tap water. If your water quality is too bad to be saved by this filter, I'd highly suggest looking into a different method, like water delivery or some type of larger multi-step system that can be used for your entire water supply, because if it's actually that gross it is ruining your clothes and bedding in the washer, damaging your scalp, hair, and skin in the shower, and slowly poisoning you when you consume it anyway. There's one essential necessity to carbon based life. Let's not take it for granted. That said, these could definitely use a price cut since they don't last super long if your water is as hard as mine.Pros: Water tastes great, has no brown tint anymore. Easy install. Arrived in sturdy cardboard and tamper-evident vacuum-sealed packaging.Cons: Cost could be lowered a bit for sure. Lifetime depends greatly on water quality. Same with any filter ever made, but this is why some people say it only lasts about a month and others say it lasts way longer. Mine varies between 2-4 months. When it was dirty at 2 months they were doing a lot of construction up the road that exposed some ground to the main. I made sure to use the same filter until they were done but it was extremely dirty after that. I just replaced one after 3 months exactly and it was light brown. Sure it could have gone a little longer but why play with fire when the real goal is clean water?Overall: Highly recommended if your water tastes like bootyhole.

We live in a older building and this is what it looks like after 10 months of use! Will be replacing every six months moving forward.

Good filters. A bit restrictive on water pressure, but well worth the payout. Takes away bad smelling and dirty water.

I have used a Frizz water filter for two years. I had to buy the inside filter to change every year. However, I couldn’t open the filter case, so I emailed the customer service. They sent me a belt to try to open it, however, it didn’t work. So they just sent me a new filter case wi to a filter inside without any problem. The product is great, it makes water clean.
