Quality at a low price
The Uni-T UT-89 XD digital multimeter is packed with plenty features as described on Amazon , it is designed very well and for the number of functions, it is reasonably priced, excellent equipment for the money. I will recomend it without hesitation.

Recommend
Received as is in the publication, this model 89XD does not have the thermocouple to take temperature measurements. It works perfectly, I recommend its use.

Pleasantly surprised
Seems pretty accurate messauring120V mains voltage. Also seems very accurate with resistors and their color codes. Even capacitors. I did these tests right after I received it to see just how accurate it was. I compared the read out on this with my other Uni-T combination clamp meter DMM model UT210E and it's comparable. I have yet to buy a Fluke to compare it with though. I like how I can measure up to 20 Amps inline rather than use my clamp meter which is something I need to test next and compare that with the clamp meter. Overall good value for the money I think.

Large bright display. Loud buzzer
Uni T got the display right.nice big digits and good backlight. Auto backlight feature is a winner. Stays on as long as you need it. My other uni t meters are a pain to get the back light on. They are not as bright and stayed on for only a few seconds. Great for failing eyes.Nice loud buzzer. Great in noisy environments. Older units were weak in this area.Nice feel. Solid and easy to hold.I gave up the auto range range feature to get all the parameters I needed and come in below $50.inc shipping .NCV, led tester and flashlight are nice features.Does not come with a case so get one. I have order one and will add the link if it fits.Well used in the last 3 months so far no issues

Great meter and great value for hobbyists and non-pro's
Great value for how high quality the build on the meter is. I am a hobbyist and this is perfect for projects with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ect. Definitely a huge jump up in quality from cheaper meters I have used before and would definitely recommend this meter or others from the same brand.It feels heavy and well-built in hand and it iss also very easy to get to the fuse in case you need to replace it which is a huge plus.
