Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner: A Must-Have for Oily & Combination Skin
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice Pore-Reducing Toner for a while, and it has made a noticeable difference in my skin. It’s designed for oily and combination skin, and it really helps control shine and minimize the appearance of pores.Pros:✔ Lightweight & Hydrating – Unlike some toners that dry out the skin, this one keeps it balanced and refreshed.✔ Controls Oil Without Stripping – My skin feels clean but not tight, which is perfect for oily areas.✔ Niacinamide for Pore Refinement – Helps with skin texture, reduces redness, and minimizes the look of pores over time.✔ Soothes & Calms Skin – Contains antioxidants and hydrating ingredients that help reduce irritation.Cons:✖ Might Not Be Hydrating Enough for Dry Skin – If your skin leans more towards dry, this might not give you enough moisture.✖ Results Take Time – Pore reduction isn’t instant, but with consistent use, you’ll see improvements.Final Thoughts:If you have oily or combination skin and want a light, non-irritating toner that helps with shine and pores, this is a great choice! It works well in a routine with other niacinamide or exfoliating products like BHA.

Exceeded my Expectations
The Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner is a commendable addition to skincare routines for those with combination to oily skin. Its ability to control oil and provide hydration without irritation makes it a reliable choice. However, if pore size reduction is your primary concern, results may vary. Overall, it's a well-formulated product that aligns with Paula's Choice's reputation for effective and gentle skincare solutions.

Healthy skin and shrinks pores
I've been using this for a year. Im 55 and last year I noticed my pores were enlarged and my skin looked dull and gross even though I've been taking care of my skin since I was 10 years old. I discovered this on Amazon and now I never let it run out. Within weeks my skin looked healthy, bright and pores are back to normal. I don't use many products: I wash nightly with ivory soap and then I use this and a vitamin c serum. I love this product.

Made a huge difference!
So, at the ripe old age of 36, I am feeling motivated to do something for my skin, as I don’t really wear makeup except for special occasions. For my entire life I have pretty much just used a facial cleanser and then a moisturizer. I have sensitive skin, so I’ve just always been a little nervous to try new stuff on it. But my friend overhauled her skin routine recently and was actually glowing, so I asked her about it. She suggested just adding a toner. I, of course, hit up some Amazon reviews and decided to try the Paula’s Choice Toner and the Paula’s Choice Exfoliator. Wow - my skin looks so smooth now!! My color is more even, and my pores are not as noticeable. My sister even commented on how different and brighter my skin was. The Exfoliator makes my skin itch, so I have dropped it the past couple months and I haven’t noticed a difference, so I’m 98% sure that the changes were due to the Toner. The cost is not amazing, but I think fair, so I’m happy with this! I’m really happy with the results!

The most effective two pieces of my skincare
I’ve tried dozens of different skincare products over the past year. These included various serums, creams, moisturizers, retinals, etc. among both inexpensive and premium skincare options, some with an msrp close to $300. My primary concerns are large pores, buccal fat causing noticeable creasing, dark circles, fine lines and frequent hyperpigmentation from the slightest irritations.Out of all the skincare I’ve tried, Paula’s choice was the most consistently performing duo by far. Many products left my face with a matte wax-like sheen or looking super greasy. Paula’s Choice toner and exfoliator always leave me with a nice even tone with fewer noticeable wrinkles and nicely tight pores for a more youthful appearance. Both are easy to apply with cotton swabs or pads and can be used with other products. I was applying all kinds of different products before realizing they weren’t needed. A bottle of Paula’s choice toner paired with a bottle of Paula’s choice exfoliator and followed up with a moisturizer has turned into my super quick yet massively effective skincare routine. All of those other products were seemingly overkill. This toner and the companion exfoliator is all that was needed.

Not much oil control to justify price...
I've been holding off on this review, hoping for something to justify its price. However, I have not found anything to do so. While its a good toner, its exactly that, just a good toner.I was using a drug store witch hazel toner before this. I have oily skin that does so much better without toner, letting my face wash and matching moisturizer do its thing. However, toner is a must to thoroughly clean your face and remove skin flaking (I use cvs brand exfoliating cotton rounds, nothing compares to them).I don't have acne, so I can't speak for that aspect. I can say I have noticed in comparison to the toner I was using prior, I blot my face less. However, I still have to blot all day, so this toner isn't really doing me much of a favor. And again, this is also combined with a great face wash and moisturizer for oily skin.Overall, I don't see the $22 price tag I bought it for as justifiable. I've used many oily skin products over the years, from drug store to department store; from my experience, this toner is over-priced. Maybe it will work for you, and work well for acne. For myself, I will be trying other brands in hope to one day find a toner that has real oil control.
