great little saw, glad to retire my old one.
This saw replaced one that was 20 years old. old saw fell behind bench and moisture got the better of it. Sad to have to retire my old one but this one is better in everyway. I usually go for older tools but in this case the upgrade made a huge difference. very sturdy and the newer tooth pattern really makes quick work. power tools have their place, but there is no substitute for a quality hand tool when a quick cut is all you need.

Excellent saw
I thought I had a chance so I put this saw; my Irwin marathon, against my dad's Dewalt flex volt sawzall with a Milwaukee ax blade on it. His 60 volt sawzall cut through a pressure treated 4X4 in 16 seconds. My hand saw cut through the same board in 19 seconds. Yes I lost but only by a little. This saw is excellent. The fine starter teeth in the front make it possible to cut where you want to cut with impressive accuracy. Once you get into the bigger teeth this saw eats through wood (almost as fast as a 60 volt sawzall). The length of the saw makes it easier to deal with smaller stuff like 2X2s and small trees. And at the same time it's big enough to take a good bite out of a 4X4. If you're looking for an amazing hand saw that cuts fast and easy then this is it.

This is a BIG-Little hand saw!
I’ve been using these small Irwin handsaws for many many years. Despite this sow being so small, it’s a very efficient saw. This saw holds its sharpness very well, and it rips through the material like butter. I highly recommend this Irwin saw.

Best handsaw I've used
I bought this to try and minimize noise while I build projects in my duplex basement and it's just as effective as a power saw. When my wife saw me using it she rolled her eyes and asked why I didn't just use a power saw until she saw how fast my cuts were going and then she was very impressed. I'm just a diyer/hobbiest and I prefer to use handtools whenever possible. Up until I purchased this saw I'd still been using power tools for the majority of my material prep process, but this saw changed that for me and I transitions most of my sawing to hand saws

Sharp Gift
A b'day gift to a fellow carpenter...the handle is most helpful & beefy...lightweight...while haven't used the item myself, the recipient will be most excited for this requested handy tool...minus one star for not having opportunity to try 'er out...

Man... what a saw!
I had bought a Stanley about a year ago, used it a couple of times and loaned it out to a relative (bad move). Decided to go with the Irwin this time. The Stanley was good, but I think this one is better. I'm almost 70 and not at my peak anymore but I can cut through a 4x4 in about a minute. For notching out a few post ,etc. it's not even work the set-up time on my table saw or circular saw. Don't get me wrong, if I had to do more than a few repetitive cuts I'd pull out the power-assist, but this almost makes you want to go out and just cut stuff. The cuts are pretty smooth and the thicker blade certainly helps me keep the cut square. Definitely recommend.

The best handsaw
The best bandsaw on the market and for the same price as the other ones. It cuts fast and it’s very durable. Totally worth it
