Good quality - excellent deal
These are quite nice, actually. The dimensions are a little off in the copy, but not by much.Overall length is 8 1/2", diamond length is 3 1/8", width is 7/16 or 11mm rather than 1/2", and thickness is 3mm or just under 1/8" rather than the 5mm stated.Files are sturdy, straight and flat (the coated area and handle being raised). The diamond coating is on all four sides and the tip, as if it were dipped - I mention this as sometimes it's useful to have one edge smooth on a file, though of course the edges coated are useful as well. The grit consistency appears to be uniform and consistent with the spec'd grade. The grade is not marked on the individual files, but that's easily rectified with a felt tip marker. The included vinyl pouch is workable though a bit chintzy - I almost mistook it for packaging as it was stuck to the cardboard. In very fine print on the package it reminds one to use with water or lubricant as one should not use these dry (as with most diamond files)..

Excellent value for the price
These diamond files have large abrasive surfaces and long handles, so they are comfortable for someone with average to large hands to use. The set fills a gap I have always had in my tool collection. I expect them to work well for initial sharpening of knives and other tools, for filing welds on steel assemblies, working with glass, ceramics, or stone materials. They provide a very wide range of grit from #40 to #600.The manufacturer paid much more attention to making these files useful rather than beautiful, which is fine for someone like me who plans to actually use them frequently. The plastic dipping on the handles is a little inconsistent, and the included case is flimsy but it should keep the abrasive surfaces from damaging each other. The set can be rolled up for storage.

Very good quality
These files are great. The diamond coatings are highly durable. Other cheaper files the diamonds wear off quickly. Not these. They stay rough and ready for the job use after use. Use wet to prolong coating but works great dry too. Great price, heavy gauge steel base sturdy and strong with rubber dipped handles. Be sure to write the grit on each file so you know which is which when you have them all out mixed up on your Work bench.Photo is one of the inlay rings I made using these files.

cheap
cheap storage plastic bag, couldn't use after I took the files out, the files are fair at best.

Great diamond hones for the money,
just all around good rasp/file/hones- import quality so it take a little more elbow grease or time- but they work great for general use. Cuts carbide and hardened steel- this is real diamond. just go easy and use lube (water is fine)

Recommended to me for clock work! Great price here!
A longtime professional clock repair person recommended these to me for clock work. They were a lot less expensive from amazon than from Timesavers. Plus, no minimum order demands, no small order surcharge, and with prime, no shipping cost The finest files work great for polishing wheel pivots, just use a light touch and let the tool do the work. Careful, it does it very quickly. Great deal at Amazon and with a bit of care should last you a lifetime.

These work excellent for what I need them for
These work excellent for what I need them for.. I only gave 4 stars as I don't know how long they will last. I haven't had them that long

Works great
I use these to file my many types of jewelry-making pliers so that they grip more evenly again. I have also used them to file the wire ends when making wire jewelry. The range of grits allows for a lot of control, and they seem quite durable, especially compared to some diamond grit jewelry files I bought - these are much nicer and longer-lasting. Highly recommended for jewelry and home improvement use - probably other uses, too!
