Fisticuffs Tattoo Balm (2 OUNCE TIN)

I’m generally a pure vitamin E ointment user for healing. But recently, I was struggling with some intense itch. Small tattoos are ok – you just deal with it. But I’ve been in the process of sleeving both arms and with large areas needing to heal, the itch was getting intense. I had heard that Fisticuffs tattoo balm helped with the itch so I decided to try it out. I would say I am happy with the results. Not only did it really help with the itch, it did help calm down some of the swelling as well. Went on smooth and had a slight cooling sensation for me – like almost instant relief. I purchased the 1oz tin as well – I brought it with me everywhere in case I needed some extra itch help. Fits perfect in your pocket. As for the heal, I had the ‘onion skin’ with zero scabbing in a few days. It healed the skin well and looks great. I had no ink loss that I can tell. I just bought another two tins (1 & 2 oz sizes) for my next piece of work.In the past, I had some issues with the pure vitamin E ointment clogging my pores but I had no such problems with this balm. Also, I found this balm to leave less of a greasy feel after applying (as I have found with other balms like Hustle Butter). As with other reviewers, I’d like to mention that this balm does have a very strong smell when you first take it out of the tin and apply. It is the tea tree oil. Some will like it and some might not. It does wake you up early in the morning – lol. Having said that, it does dissipate quickly to leave a more subtle smell. I liked the smell – no issues with that on this end.

Product seems to work, just got it yesterday. Nice scent but goes on greasy and the god damn cheap tin was almost impossible to open. I had to bang it against my table and dent the side to get it to open-Update-First the tin is a bit cheap compared to other companies but I've had this product for about a year now and it still smells great and the consistency is just the same was when I bought. Goes on smooth but it is a bit greasy and leaves a heavy shine. I used this towards the end of my last tattoo so I can't really say %100 my thoughts. My girlfriend got a new tattoo about a month after I got it and used this stuff, seemed to work out great. She healed perfectly fine and looks great today. I just got a new tattoo today and I'll prob only use this product on it besides anti bacterial soap. Working great as of the past 6 hours

Holy Cow! This is the best tattoo salve I have ever used. I've tried a few other brands and even coconut oil. This is just amazing stuff. Healed my tattoo up quickly and kept it vibrant. It smells kind of minty and I love that. It's a thick salve, not a lotion so it might soak into clothes, I used it on my leg, so I didn't notice on my black pants and jeans. I'll definitely be buying more!

This made the healing process for my tattoo SO easy. This was my 3rd tattoo and I think this balm is the reason why I can say that I had the best post-tattoo experience here out of all 3.Make note that this is a balm so 2 oz goes a long way! Used it on my tricep tattoo for well over a month and a half for good measure. I still use it after showering because it keeps the ink looking fresh.

I went and got the outline done on my shin yesterday around 1 pm it was a little swollen but not bad at all. Now usually i do the entire tattoo in one sitting, shading, color everything this is the first time I haven't done it all in one sitting but chose not to this time due to lack of money, that being sad no idea how my body reacts to just a outline typically but after using this on it last night and this morning and now taking the pictures today around 5 pm it's hardly swollen at all and doesn't hurt much! I think that may be due to the peppermint oil in it that helps with swelling, smells nice feels like aquifer! Pretty good amount tin! Will update my review again when I get it colored and shaded

When I get my tattoos I have my artist wrap it and Saniderm when they are done and cleaned up. The Saniderm does the important part of the healing. That stays on for about four days. I don’t take it off I don’t wash underneath it and put it back on. I leave it on. It protects the fresh ink, accelerates the healing, and I can even shower and work with it on.After that process. I don’t use regular old lotion. I use only this tattoo balm. I’ve used others and this is the best. At both keeping the tattoo moisturized. The wax makes it durable so it doesn’t come off easy. I think it has Teatree oil in it or something similar, that acts as a natural anti-septic. With this process my tattoos heal quick Painlessly and I haven’t had any infections despite the location and the fact that I’m a working man. Who gets exposed to all kinds of stuff. These products used in conjunction with each other are the only way to go. It sure beats the way I used to deal with healing over 20 years ago

I've used Griffins for multiple tats but didn't want to have to fight with traffic to get to the shop that it's sold at locally. Decided to give this a whirl. The price really cannot be beat but the essential oils are super light in it. Griffins gives a tingle to let you know that it's helping fight infections but this doesn't. It smells nice but I'll go back to what I know.

Best aftercare product I have ever used. I'm 7 sessions in on a sleeve and I have used it after every one and they have healed easier and quicker than my other 3 tattoos. Takes the sting out right away from the fresh tattoo and keeps the color bright. If you like the smell of tea tree oil you'll like this scent. The new screw cap for the tin is so much easier to get off and on. Will be the only product I will ever use for all future tattoos.
