RCFK Fireplace Dual Blower Fan Kit for Majestic Wood Fireplaces | Ball Bearing, Quiet, High Air Flow, Energy Efficient

My 30 year old Majestic RC36 fireplace blower fan died. I hated it anyway because it was only one speed, was irritatingly noisy, built like junk and itblew so hard it dried our eyes out on the sofa 10 feet away.The Fireplace Blowers online twin blowers arrived well packed and well designed. It can be adjusted to be very quiet with the rheostat and the thermal on/off switch works well. I tested all of that before installation.The fan needed to have the wiring harnesses adjusted a bit. I wanted the rheostat outside the fireplace for easy access and I lengthened the wires.See the photo of the rheostat outside the fireplace on the marble surround. It comes with a pressure sensitive rear adhesive pad for precisely that purpose.The fan motor just fit in my bottom fireplace housing with the adhesive rubber noise isolating pads installed. Measure carefully!I taped over the motors and wires and painted the fan shrouds and base with flat black ceramic 2000 degree manifold paint. That made the fan housing disappear behind the black lower fireplace louver.You can just see the silver motor windings through the bottom louver in the other photo.This blower is likely not “plug and play” in many if not all situations. If you’re not sure what you’redoing, contact an experienced fireplace contractor. An experienced DIY person with a broad array of skills can likely figure it out.This blower is extraordinarily better than the original blower in my Majestic fireplace. An OEM blower will NOT match the build quality of this product.Overall, this is a terrific product from a great American company. Hope that helps and thanks to Fireplace Blowers!

Everything came wired together which was very nice. It doesn't have the two guard strips over the fans but they aren't really necessary. I just had to ziptie the sensor cords up so they didn't rub the fan blades.It's pretty loud on high but at a quiet setting it moves enough air to raise the temp in the room from 68 to 72. If I'm not in the room I turn it up to get more heat since I won't hear the noise.My only complaint is I had to strip 3" off the power cord to route the rheostat through the grill to the outside of the fireplace insert. The instructions said to leave it behind the grill but that's silly if you want to adjust it ever.

Noisier than I had expected and takes a while to turn on.

Was a little to tall had to remove cross brackets on top to get it in. Not to sure if it was really worth it, the fans loud, i don't know if it's my fireplace or the fans but doesn't seem to put out that much heat ( like barely moves a tissue hanging in front of the exhaust) or my expectations were just high...

Not exactly what I needed but it did the job.
