I’m basically gluten freeish. Spelt has been kind to me so I grind my flour and bake my own bread. I love the nutty flavor of spelt. To me regular wheat has a bitter taste. Spelt has none.My daughter likes kamut because it makes a lovely white loaf, yet kind to all the gluten patients in the family. I tried to make a loaf 1/2 spelt and 1/2 kamut. It raised easier, but seemed to cover the nutty taste of the spelt. So when I got this spelt, I was surprised that it makes a little lighter colored bread and tasted more like the 1/2 kamut bread.It tastes good enough. I will use it just fine. I am just hooked on the nutty flavor and will miss it.Maybe it will make a better white cake.

A perfect bag of whole grain wheat. It is clean and without debris or mold or anything else other reviews have mentioned. It is somewhat amber in color, opposed to the redish color or modern, comercial whole red winter wheat. Spelt is supposed to be much more digestible than red wheat, but I cannot attest to that.Update Nov. 2021---Another bag delivered ahead of time. Same perfect bag as before. Don't believe other reviews claiming to have problems such as bugs and foreign matter. Not my experience!

I've used their hard white wheat and spelt berries for a few years now and was surprised I found their spelt on Amazon. So of course I ordered a bag. I stock up every year. I've never had a single issue with the quality of the berries or speed of delivery. It's worth every penny.

I have found this spelt to be clean and very nice flavored. It grinds down into beautiful flour and is great to bake with. I also use it as a sprouted breakfast cereal. Delicious!
