Works great! not amazing quality

It works great on my Pi 4 as a 3d printer camera. it is not super clear, I even adjusted the lens. It works for what I am doing for the price. The camera is actually seperate from the board and is attached via a connector. There is double sided tape on the back of it to stick to the board. My double sided is not sticky at all anymore. I printed a case for it to sit in so it doesn't matter too much. Cheap enough to have a few spares

Good camera

Good, cheap, octopi camera. Mine came with the 4 lobed focus ring that is supposed to be on the v2 cameras.Picture quality is what I expected, setup is easy. I've seen a few comments on the lens being mounted to the board too loosely, but there is double stick tape on the back that you can use to secure it to the board. It's left loose so that you can change the position if you need to.At any rate, plugged right in, worked flawlessly. I even zapped the board with static a few times, and knocked the lens off of the board while the camera was running while trying to reposition it. Popped it back on, restarted the mjpg_streamer service, and it just went right on working. Didn't even reboot.

Works well, wish it had a longer ribbon cable

I got this for my Klipper instance to monitor my 3d printer. It works well enough for what I need, make sure you enable the legacy camera support with 'raspi-config'. I wish I had gotten one with a longer ribbon cable because this one is only about 6 inches long which makes it a bit awkward to position away from the Pi itself. I've added a screenshot for an example of resolution.

Easy setup, clear image – does exactly what you need!

I was looking for a simple, affordable camera module for my Raspberry Pi project, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Setup was a breeze (plug and play!), and the 5MP sensor delivers a clear, detailed image. It's perfect for my basic video recording and monitoring needs. If you're looking for a no-frills camera that just works with your Raspberry Pi, this is a great option.

Solid cheap camera

I was working on a small project and couldn't find my other camera, so I went online and found the next cheapest one I could. This one works exactly as well as expected. It includes what you see, don't expect anything else. Just the one short ribbon cable, no case, etc.One thing I will add is that it advertises itself as a fixed focus lens - and it is fixed focus, you can manually adjust the focus a little bit by rotating the little plastic spokes around the lens. This one was fairly sturdy, but a good pair of tweezers did the job just fine. Just boot up your raspi and check out the live view while you're doing it, because there are of course no indicators.

Using with Octoprint on 3D printer - works great

Got this camera to monitor print jobs via Octoprint on my 3D printer. Image is sharp enough, and exposure is good enough in lower light for the job. I do wish the interface cable was longer, however with the pi attached to the back right corner of the printer and mounted right above with a camera mount I get a really good view of the platter, and the image width is wide enough to see both L and R uprights (Ender 3 v2). Excellent value. Longer cables can be found from various sources including Amazon. Easy to recommend for this purpose.

Terrible, slow and bad quality image

I got this months before I was able to take the time to hook it up and use it. When I did, i was so disappointed. I used guides to get it working with raspbian, which, with new updates, I was able to get it to run and stream over UDP without too much trouble. However, the image goes white, is terribly slow, and looks awful, with a Pi4 4GB. I have a regular webcam with my pi 3 4GB, with octoprint that works beautifully, but this is just awful, slow, and not worth the cost. Swapping out for a regular USB webcam was so much better it's ridiculous.

Good enough for the price

Its a step down in quality from the real raspberry pi, but the cost saving makes it worth it. Sharpness doesn't seem to take a hit, seems to be just the colors are a bit off. The first pic is the real raspberry pi camera, the old one V2.1, I think it was 5MP. 2nd pic is this one, has a slight shift toward the green under the same LED lights for my 3d printer. But will be fine for monitoring prints.Update: Now I am noticing a blurry phasing going on with it during the live stream in OctoPrint. Its like it goes blurry for 1 sec every 3 seconds. I'll prob live with it for printing, but I won't be getting another one for any other projects.
