I bought this dresser as part of my wifes christmas gifts, It arrived in fantastic time, cant fault that, so, onwards to assembling while she was sleeping on the eve of xmas. what a pity, first, the actual instructions to build the unit are not the best, unless you got pretty good eyesight, 2nd/ the pre-bored holes were either too wide or too deep , the necessary sized screws to compile some parts of the unit were not present, mainly the 2 small drawer housing screws, there should have been two smaller screws to secure the housings to the unit and in turn, the drawers would fit neatly in them, so, when i found 2 viable screws in my garage, i used them, but they wouldn't work anyway, the holes were too wide to secure the housings even if the screws had been supplied. ended up, i used double sided tape to secure them. 3rd/ Screws for the stool, I had to find smaller screws for this other than the ones indicated on the instructions, cause, if you used them to attach the (cushioned) part of the stool to the base, you end up with the screws jagging your butt cheeks when you sat on it as the cushion just deflates under any weight, NOTE, I am not heavy, (needs a much firmer foam which doesn't collapse under weight) anyway, snipped the screws, resolved. 4th/ screws to attach the 2 side mirrors either side of the main mirror supports were not supplied. 5th/ The main mirror that goes between the 2 struts that support it should really have a better component in order to make the mirror manoeuvrability practical, (swivel joints or bearings either side of the supports perhaps) because, if you re position the mirror regularly, the screws loosen as its 2 screws straight through the struts into the mirror, no little bearing housings or separators on either the struts or mirror to prevent loosening of the screws. All in all, this was a shame, as it actually is a pretty little unit, There are no metal washers with to accompany any bolts for this unit. With some tweaks and attention to fabrication/build and a better quality of wood, (this is very cheapish) this unit could be a damned fine product for what would induce a minor cost to manufacture and produce, then it would certainly be worth the money, its got great character and potential to be better. I did make reference to the fact that I was not a heavy person, I am not, neither my wife, But, I reckon if you weigh any more than 90 kilo, the stool is going to give up the ghost and collapse, **advisory.. It may be worth while securing the unit to a wall with a strap or bracket, its very unstable and WILL tip over easily if knocked, as the legs front and rear are way too close together. Wish I could say better of this unit. BUT, it can be resolved by the makers. easily.
