First Impressions - Expresso WR62 Watch
My first impressions of the WR 62 watch are favorable, however there is some points to be aware of.First of all I received the watch and used it the next day after charging up. I must say it found my course and gave accurate distances to the greens. After the 7th hole it stopped automatically advancing so had to do it manually. Starting on 10th hole it went back to advancing automatically. Finished the round and battery still said almost full so battery life not an issue. The course I played at had the bunkers replaced and some moved about 4 years ago and the hazard information loaded had the old configuration so the GPS data was not up to date for the hazards. That isn't the watch problem but the Igolf.com database. Now to Igolf.com. Instructions say you need to sync within 180 days so I registered and tried to sync and couldn't and had to install new version of Flash on windows 7 computer to get it to work. Tried on a MAC and didn't work at all so for now I would recommend a windows computer to do this. I sent an email to customer service at Igolf and Scarlett got back to me within a day and said I probably needed to update firmware as I was on ESN.001 and gave me a number at Expresso to call. Spoke with Josh and had the update within minutes via email and it updated flawlessly. One thing to note is the new firmware DOES NOT require syncing with Igolf any longer. New version took out that requirement.Igolf.com also said the individual course download feature won't be available for another month. All in all I am pleased with the product and the support I received from Expresso and Igolf. I would recommend this product.

expresso wr62
Don't waste your money. I have used mine three times. The only performance feature that's dependable is that it will find the course you're playing. I have found that it will change holes automatically for about the first 6 or 7 holes. After that, I've had to change holes manually. The yardage readings are consistent with my old Sky Caddy SG3 about 50 percent of the time and the device is slow updating the yardage as you move toward the green. I was really hoping I could replace the SG3 with a watch type device was why I bought it. Unfortunately, I adjusted the band to fit my wrist so now I can't send it back for a refund. One more thing: after playing and upon exiting golf, it doesn't even switch back to the correct time. Changing the time manually is a real pain. I'm very disappointed I purchased this device.

I've had this GPS for 3 years, and even ...
I've had this GPS for 3 years, and even though it shows that it is fully charged, it no longer holds a charge for a complete 18 holes of golf. When trying to charge the watch, I would have to monitor it to be sure the connection to the charger was not lost. Any minor vibration would disconnect the contacts and it would stop charging. Very frustrating.

The swing is the thing
I lost my laser range finder and no one turned it in at the pro shop, honesty is the best policy seems to be out of style.I am quite pleased with this watch type it is very convenient and as accurate as a duffer such as I would need. It is easy to read and after the jeweler fitted the strap to my wrist it is most comfortable. It really hasn't helped my golf swing in the slightest but that is quite another story.

Expresso WR 62
Will recommend to serious golfers. Performs as advertised. Accurate and automatically finds the golf course you are on. Beats my golfing buddy's Garmin. For the price, I believe it is much better than any watch GPS in the market. The wrist band is easy to adjust. I did it myself and I am not usually good with stuff like that. I play Southwyck golf course in Pearland, Texas a lot and my last outings were enjoyable. Not only were the yardages accurate but also very helpful when chipping or pitching in from around the green. Same experience with nearby golf courses such as Clear Creek and Country Place. I no longer pace from the pin to my ball to get my distance. Also, when there's not much traffic on the course, I could easily finish 36 holes in 4 hours or less. The downside is it seems to have difficulty adjusting automatically to the next hole in golf courses where the holes (Tee boxes, fairways and greens) are very close to each other as in Devine, Texas. But then again you can manually adjust quickly by pushing a button.

Not Very Accurate
I bought this before it was released. I've played three courses, plus one of them twice. It has not shown accurate yardages on ANY of them, based on fairway markers, PGA markers, or playing partners gadgets who were using Skycaddie, etc.I contacted iGolf concerning the first course, Pendleton in Ruther Glen, Virginia. They said it was slated for remapping. But then it was also not accurate on Glenndale in Glenndale, Maryland, nor was it accurate for two days of play at Bristow Manor in Bristow, Virginia. At Bristow, it started changing yardages while I was standing or sitting still -- up 10 yards, down 5 yards. It was off 5 to 7 yards on nearly every hole. I realized I could not rely on it.I will say that the folks at iGolf were VERY responsive to my first inquiries concerning difficulty with their website and the first course yardage complaint. But I'm asking them to replace this unit. I have not heard back, yet. I will post a follow-up, later. I, too, was told recently that their individual course update will not be operational for awhile. I thinked it was rushed to market after so many previous delays.Nice looking watch. Wears lightly -- meaning, it does not feel heavy. Certainly readable, but the Hazards were hardly ever marked on the courses I played. It would give End of Fairway, but not the distance to the pond, for example.I do think a watch is easier to use than the hand-carry devices. Several people I know have left theirs in a cart -- that won't happen with a watch. But keep an eye open for improvements to the Expresso, or research the other options. Garmin S3 is too expensive for such crappy resolution and little detail. Bushnell Neo looks good, but I've not used those two.
