Do not buy!!!! Dangerous inaccurate readings.
Do not buy this meter! Used it side by side two other brands. More then 50 point variance to the high side. That could and would be very dangerous for insulin dependent diabetics. The price is temping but the main part and most important part of a glucose meter is knowing and tracking accurate blood sugars. We purchased two and both have inaccurate readings with same finger, same blood draw. The two machines side by side varied more than 20 points. When I used my OneTouch they were 30-50 pointe higher. Not a safe product.

High degree of variability in results
I was been hoping the meter would be accurate and reliable, it's so competitively priced and made by Agamatrix which makes my other meter (Presto). So after exhausting all 200 Choice strips these few weeks, (btw these strips turned out to be interchangeable with Agamatrix's Presto). each time the readings from the Choice Meter would vary from around 7% to 20% higher than the Presto Meter readings with the same drop of blood taken within seconds of each other. As much as I'd like to continue with Choice, I'm just going to go back to the original Agamatrix Presto meter and strips. Thanks for trying Amazon, appreciate the opportunity to save some money but the variability doesn't help at all.

What people don't know...
...is that a portable blood glucose meter reading only has to be within 15 percent of the actual glucose level. The current technology used for the test strips can't be more accurate than that.So that review with the two meters showing 239 and 271...they are within that tolerance of each other and as a result are accurate to that blood sample shown.Besides both 239 and 271 are high in any case. The standard actually says 15 percent except for very low values (90 mg/dl I think) where the margin of error cannot be more than 15 points from the correct reading.Don't believe me?Ask the Diabetes Technology Society. Look up the review they did and check the results for yourself.Only negative thing about the meter is that getting strips is not easy to do. Agamatrix strips are keyed to different meters so you have to be careful.I am a controlled type 2, diagnosed in 2005, A1C 6.3, diet and exercise only

Comparable accuracy, great price
I find the size and accuracy of this meter very comparable to the Accucheck meter I’ve been using. Very easy to use and smiley when I’m in range is kinda fun. Display could have slightly more contrast, but with the large numbers I have no problem seeing it. The price is very affordable. Love the Choice meter!

the cost is boss on fixed income
All glucometers are basically the same. I have owned many all prescribed by doctors and even with insurance it is a lot of money out of pocket for the meter and not to mention the strips so when i ran out of strips for my freedom style lite I said forget this and found this wonderful little meter. I was able to buy the meter and 200 strips for about what 100 strips would cost for the strips for the freedom lite. This meter reads quicker and has a back light which my freedom did not have So do yourself a favor get this meter and strips One thing though don't expect them to answer of you correspondence with them

No Alternate Site Testing
Tried out his new product as the price was comparable to other low cost cash offerings. Was disappointed that after reading the manual, there is no mention of alternate site testing. I always test fasting on my forearm or palm, so this just brings more pain back into the process in the AM. After comparing to my current product(Asencia Contour Next) the results did not leave me with much confidence.

INNACURATE
Never trust a sample of 1. Always check against a known source.Checked a blood sample with 2 meters. The known good meter was 271 and this meter showed 239.
