Hymns for the Sabbath, Vol. 1

I’d heard the composition of “If you could Hie to Kolob” played in church by a young man about 15 yrs old. I immediately rushed him after the meeting and thanked him and asked him where I could find this piece. He showed me the book and I ordered it for my 15 yr old daughter. She has been practicing it and my ears have been so happy with the beautiful music that is permeating our home. So happy to have! Well done.

I love these versions of the hymns. They remain very similar to the originals but arranged differently enough to add some excitement for the player. I would say intermediate level due to some of the higher/lower range notes. I also love some of the chord choices for the piano accompaniment. Very refreshing.

Very pretty songs- comfortable for a good intermediate piano player I think. Sight readable for an advanced player. Relies heavily on arpeggios in the left hand, but would be easy to prepare for a church meeting.

The musical arrangements in this book are beautiful! Well worth the money. The book is spiral bound and made of quality paper. It is a nice addition to our musical library.
