Canon Powershot SX740 HS 4K Video Digital Camera + Basic Accessory Kit - Including to Get Started

I'm a Canon fan going way back. I've had the sx720 for years. I like taking animal photos - especially birds and this new SX740 HS is awesome for that. The zoom feature, image stabilization and auto focus is perfect for birding. I basically use my camera as binoculars and then just snap a picture to record my "lifer" bird! It fits in a pocket which makes it a convenient companion.The first picture is of the Sandia Mountains with frost on the trees and was taken from miles away. It was still hazy in the morning. The robin was quite a distance away across a field. I'm not good at judging distance, but I can say it was far enough away that it was just a bird until magnified 40 times.All of the features of this sweet little camera are useful and I'm using and liking the video. I think the lens produces better pictures than the SX720 I own. One new feature on the SX740 which is very helpful for macro photos is the adjustable screen.Just go point and shoot to get the hang of it and then read the book to explore all the options.

I ordered my new camera kit on Cyber Monday and it arrived on Wednesday! Didn't expect such fast service. I spent hours comparison shopping and this was the best price. Actually, most of the same model cameras were the same price as this but without the kit with the extras. I'm very happy with this purchase. The zoom on this camera is insane and it fits easily in my pocket. Perfect compliment to my smartphone!

This camera is terrific. Easy to handle but make sure you download the manual to understand all the options. Wireless connection to an iPhone is a easy and the Canon app simple to use. Zoom is amazing a image stabilization very effective. Being small it is sometimes easy to fat finger a control button but overall this is an excellent buy.

Christmas gift for my 13 year old who does not own a phone and loves taking pictures. He loved how well he could zoom in for a great picture and how small it was for carrying in his backpack or pocket. Takes way better pictures than my iPhone 11.

Bought this for my grandson (10 years old) who loves it and who just returned from a family vacation in Europe and the Middle East. Took 2000 photos. He had a ball. He was able to be very creative ... given the great zoom lens, and the helpful syncing with the iPhone. They loved getting selfies by remote!

We like the camera so far. We had an earlier model canon sure shot and it only lasted about 3-4 years. We'll see if this one last longer! The previous one was a sx710 hs. Was working fine and then it just quit. No warning.

When ordering a Canon camera you would expect the accessories that accompanied the camera would be Canon as well. Got the Canon camera but the case, card reader and all other accessories were clearly marked VIVITAR, a totally different camera brand. Was assured by Wholscamera the Vivitar accessories are compatible with the Canon camera. Returned the whole thing. Not taking and chances.
