ZEE ZEES Rock'n Blue Raspberry Applesauce Cups, 4 oz Cups, 24 pack

My wife wants a glass of wine in the evening after the kids go to bed. But give me my Zee Zees applesauce! I am writing this review settled in our bedroom closet in fear of her discovering these incredible cups of sweet goodness! Having to share these with anyone (loving wife, enduring children included) would wreck my life. How Zee Zees has managed to deliver this birthday cake applesauce without artificial colors or flavors is beyond me. Hey, I can have my applesauce and eat it too, right? Because these are like a birthday party in my mouth. We will be reordering these and serving at the kids birthday parties! Hats off to you, Zee Zee!

The Zee Zees Unsweetened Applesauce cups have a great taste, but they are even more perfect for the use that I need them for. I am on fluid restriction, but take over 20 pills daily. I learned at KU Hospital to throw all the morning pills in the cup of Applesauce and eat it with a spoon. I repeat this in the evening and feel good that I have also had a daily serving of unsweetened fruit that tastes great. Since I can depend on Amazon for quick delivery, I don't have to worry about knowing when to reorder.

There are no raspberries in tgese cuos uf applesauce. The first ingredient is apple, the second is sugar. The carton that the cups come in says raspberries but all there is is blue dye & lots of sugar plus some chemicals i never heard of. I was extremely disappointed in this product. The color of the "applesauce" is a hideous deep blue.

Update: My opinions have flip flopped. I initially gave 4 stars for great taste and knocked one off for poor packaging. The packaging problem has essentially been remedied by a new box system. The taste, however, is incredibly inconsistent. I realize that fruits vary in ripeness and by season but some boxes of these will be sweet and runny and delicious like candy and the next box is thick with little hard bits and zero sweetness. I’ll use it as an addition to smoothies, but can’t justify paying this price (which fluctuates regularly) any longer. Bummer, because when it’s good, it’s so good. Unfortunately, for me, that’s only been one out of the last three orders. I will say though, Zee Zee’s customer service did an excellent job addressing the packaging issue and was very courteous and prompt.Initial review: This pearsauce is amazing. The only thing that could make it better is if it was organic. Note, this is runnier than applesauce (so be careful when opening) but that’s one of the reasons I love it. Now, the negative: both times I’ve ordered, the box has had at least one cup that was broken open. I’m fairly certain this didn’t happen during shipping, as the box was stained and the spill had already fermented and was stinky. I wish employees would check boxes prior to shipping. The other downfall is price - I’ve seen it vary as much as $10. There’s no reason there’s not a consistent price on this. Four stars based on taste.

I love the flavor of pears but I don't like eating fresh pears because of the crunchy stone cells in the common varieties that give them grittiness. Yet, pears are good for my high blood pressure. I tried dried pears but the sticky chewiness of them wasn't pleasant. I was shocked to find there is pear sauce just like there is apple sauce! I get the handy convenience of the individual servings and the flavor of pears without any grittiness. These cups have become more popular in my house than apple sauce. I like them cold so I keep several in the fridge for a quick healthy snack.

My 7 year old daughter came home from school one day asking if we could buy blue applesauce. Apparently her school lunches would sometimes include this as a side. We looked at our local grocery store-but to no avail. Thank you Amazon-again. Searching blue applesauce lead me to these-all how ever many you get-I forget because we’ve had them in our pantry for such a long time. I had to give them away to friends -because of course things like this taste better when your eating it with your friends in a loud food reeking cafeteria-distracted from actually tasting what your shoving in your mouth. Long story short-this wasn’t the same apple sauce that school had. Also it turns your mouth blue.

Would be a 5 star review but I did not receive exactly what I purchased. The variety pack I selected was supposed to be the blue raspberry, watermelon, strawberry banana, and orange dreamsicle. I chose this variety pack specifically to try the blue, watermelon and orange flavors. When I opened my package I was disappointed to see that it did not include the orange flavor, but instead just plain original. At the end of the day, it’s not a huge deal, however I’m irritated that I didn’t get what I paid for. My daughter and husband were excited for the orange dreamsicle.

I had been looking for a low carb mango peach applesauce and I finally found a great one with Zee Zee's applesauce. It has a great flavor. It was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely order it again. Thank you!
