This system works very well. Attach the two pieces together and fill with exactly 100 ml of water through the hole on the top. This leaves the right amount of room for the ice to expand into a perfect sphere.

I bought these to have ball ice for my whiskey and have been pretty successful with these molds. The design is simple and they are easy to take apart (I don’t even have to run the mold under hot water at all). Filling them is easy, but I will say that the small fill hole will likely lead you to have a few small air bubbles in your ice (not a dealbreaker for me though). For personal use these are perfect, and for the price, these molds serve as a great gift as well!

These are difficult to separate and open after they're frozen. It takes alot of rinsing with water to unseal it and get the actual ice ball out and unfortunately the rinsing diminishes the size and shape of the ice ball.

The ice balls arrived quickly and are very easy to use. Perfect for bourbon drinks!
