TanakaPU Leather Shift Boot Universal for Manual/Auto Black Color with Red Stitching

These are sold larger so you can trim them as needed.The material feels durable, the metal ring is a cheap plastic but I took it off since I didn’t need it for how I was mounting it on my shifter.The worst part not shown in the pictures is it has “Tanaka” written in huge letters. I’d rather the company skipped the extra step of adding their ugly logo. I just wanted a plain shifter boot.

You get what you pay for but! It is perfect. Once you size it so it works against the clips to sit firm it looks great.

The material of this boot seems okay, and the stitching is straight, but I was very disappointed with the chrome ring. It is made of plastic and feels cheap. Worse though, there is nothing to keep the ring in position along the shift levers length, such as an O-ring on the inside of the ring. The ring has a groove on the underside and the boot is secured to the ring with a plastic zip tie. On the one hand that seems to work, but zip ties are not symmetrical.The boot looks better than it really is. In fairness the price is quite low, but I would have much preferred to pay more for a quality piece. I doubt this will last very long...

I guess this is a generic boot as we had to cut some off the wider part at the bottom. Please make sure you don't cut too much off or else your screwed. Looks Good Though. Happy

This was way too long and wide to install on my Miata. The one it had on before was already too large, and this was another inch on top of that. It is definitely not the universal specification upheld by the larger shift boot companies. Installing it was an absolute pain because of that.

It does exactly what it needs to do, it fit perfectly and it still is doing great

I love the material.

It came with takata lettering and I didn’t want that also it was way too big and would have to be cut but when I cut it it wasn’t wide enough I wish I didn’t cut into it because I want my money back
