Learning about the World
This is great for our great granddaughter, she enjoys learning and using the talking wand. She will use it more and she matures. It's a good size and great value for the money. It's another way to have fun and learn at the same time.

This talking globe was a perfect way for me to get a globe
If you are looking for a way for your kids to learn more about the world, then this is the toy to get. My kids have been asking for a globe since we have been talking about where all of our family lives. We have a USA map from Learning Resources, but they wanted to see the whole world. This talking globe was a perfect way for me to get a globe, but also have something informative for them to learn.I ordered this toy from Amazon and the box was huge! I was expecting a problem in the packaging, but the globe was intact and it actually took me some time to get it out of the box. So, I am glad that for the price, the globe came safely in the package. There was nothing to assemble except to add the batteries. That’s my kind of toy! I couldn’t get the batteries in fast enough. The kids wanted to play with it right away. I let them explore while I read the instruction manual to see what we could do with this globe. Our favorite feature is all of the animals you can learn from each country. The kids figured that out on their own while I was reading the manual. All I hear now is “Mom.. did you know “this animal” lives in “this country”? And then they share the fact that they learned. I learned that reindeers are real and live in Russia!! That’s my daughter’s favorite fact. Every day, I am learning about more and more animals.Another really cool fun fact that the kids can do is to measure the distance between cities. The pen tells you how many miles or kilometers it is from city to city. It refers to different objects, like how many Eiffel Towers you lay between the two cities. The kids love that more than the mileage. They just keep pressing two different cities and wait to hear the objects and how many it takes to fill that distance in.The one feature we probably will need to explore more is the USA option. You can learn about cities and capitals just in the United States. The kids are more excited about learning about the different countries and continents, that the

Highly educational & engaging
My grandchildren were delighted with the GeoSafari globe! I liked the various information they could receive. The globe asks them to find a place, ocean, mountain range, etc. It also gives information about specific countries, states, & cities. As they use the globe, they will discover many more ways to explore the world.

A Winner Gift Anytime of the Year!
I purchased this for my great grandson who will be starting school (1st grade) soon. He's very intelligent and I want to keep him going in this direction. As he proceeds through his schooling I'm sure this globe will become a asset in his learning!

Excellent learning tool. Starts off great and can be improved from here.
I am invested in Leapfrog Leapreader which uses specific books and an interactive pen to "read" the books to my little one. I have been very happy with that and was looking for 3d objects to support that same concept. Leapfrog disappointed me on that front but then I found this product which follows the same principals. It works very well I must say. Fun graphics on a 2 axis globe with bright colors really goes well with the kids. My LO was really excited to try it and having used the Leapreader, this was extremely easy to get used to. The size of the globe is larger than expected ,still it is very lightweight and my 5 year old can easily move it when needed. There are several modes for info and the pen is reasonably responsive.A couple of quirks, the pen needs to be absolutely vertical to the plane being touched for it to register the touch. A larger opening might have fixed it, but that's an issue with may only be fixed in the upcoming versions. Besides a little bit of practice overcomes this issue. The other quirk is that the touch zones are large for areas not used very frequently. Like ,for me, India is an area of interest , but even though I touch various zones, it still gives me the same info. I understand most users will like details of US(which is definitely very detailed) , so that's only a nice to have as I understand having too detailed info of each country is extremely difficult. I would love to see this improvement in upcoming versions though.Other than that, it a very fun and educational toy and does not disappoint.

Great for any kiddo who wants to learn more about different countries and the planet. My son has really enjoyed learning and playing on his globe. Picked this one specifically because of Bindi Erwin.

Didn't work, disappointed daughter on Christmas morning
My daughter requested this gift from Santa, it was the one item she really wanted. When we received the box, it appeared perfect and undamaged, so we were not worried about opening it before Christmas Eve which ended up being a mistake. Christmas Eve, we opened the box and placed in new batteries. The pen didn't work and wouldn't turn on, so we tried two new sets of batteries with no luck. We made up an elaborate story, and left a note from "santa" saying the item had "fallen off the sleigh but Santa would send another one that worked". We still haven't received a reply from customer service to simply replace the pen, so here we are on January 2nd while my daughter hopes for santa to send a new globe. We're going to be forced to return this; I'm leaning toward ordering a new globe from another business as I'm pretty disappointed to not have received any replacement or acknowledgement. It's a bummer because it appears to be a nice globe. If I get a reply in the next day or so before returning I will update this review as I'm still hoping the delay is because of the holidays.Update: Still zero response from this company (as others have said). I was able to score a black friday deal on this and now there is no replacement option, you have to return and buy a new one. We will be going to another company because there is zero customer service. Extremely disappointed.
