FORZA 5 is the Best Racing Game I have ever played!
Best Racing Game I have ever played!I almost passed this up with the Forza 6 coming out this fall. I I was a bit torn between Forza 2 (more open world) and Forza 5 (track based racer). I ordered Forza 5 game of the year edition with more available cars to start with (20 cars I believe with the DLC included). The added selection of cars made the first few days+ much more enjoyable while I learned the different handling and performance of each car in their racing classes. I started accumulating credits for my wins and visited the Forza hub site, getting credits just for the visit. I used the credits to by a few more cars just for playing around... I have always been partial to Dodge Challengers' and got one right away. It was a blast racing against Mustangs and such... taking a gold on my first race. My Grandsons really enjoy this game, but needed a few more cars. When I saw the discounted car pass at $20 dollars (was $39.95) I t was a no brainer. I added 80 new cars to my garage (now over 100 cars to race). One week since I received this game I couldn't be more pleased. The graphics are near real life. The controller response is spot on, although I look forward to trying with a true steering wheel for realism and more precise control. Made huge difference when I played Dirt 3 on my PS3. I am sure it will only add to the playing experience.Bottom line; game cost me a bit over $25 from Amazon (had to wait 2 weeks for back order); car pass cost $20 from X-Box store.Best $45 I have ever spent on gaming! Probably will be buying Forza 2 as an alternate style. A game this good can not be a mistake; these game designers really knew what they had in mind.

but recently decided to give Forza a better shake, after all I had Forza 4 still ...
I'm brand new to xbox one, After a few years off from console gaming I figured I was done. A recent lightning storm took out most of my AV equipment and in the process of replacing, decided to dig out my old 360 and PS3 and give it a go. I was more in to GT5 than I was Forza back then, but recently decided to give Forza a better shake, after all I had Forza 4 still unopened and hadn't played 3 all that much. Mainly I didn't have a wheel for the 360 like I did with the PS3 and I found controller difficult for me, but I applied myself and it became rather easy. I bought an Xbox one S over the PS4 due to Blu Ray (that's why I bought PS3 in the first place well before ever getting a 360 at the request of the boys). Not having kids anymore the decision was easy and I'm really glad I got this one S! The graphics in Forza 5 are fantastic. The track and scenery look to me a bit better than Forza 4, but the cars looks like real cars implanted in the game. I've preordered Forza 7, and will probably pick up Forza 6, I just like racing games and all the cars I get to drive!

I bought this used, and it was packaged extremely well and the disc is in perfect condition. The game itself is a blast, as all of the Forza suite has provided.

best racing experience money can buy!
I think the forza racing franchise is the absolute best racing experience ive seen on any pc or console so far. I took a star away because their DLC cars are cars that should of been included anyhow. The 300zx was available in other forzas for free, but now you have to pay for it? seems silly to me to leave cars out that were the core of a manufacture's racing division for decades only to later add it in as DLC.The graphics, sound, modding, racing are all top notch. I havent tested it on forza 5, but on forza 4 there were issues with getting realistic dragstip times. I had a car running low 14's at like 120mph with drag slicks and suspension tuning but with AWD cars they just dominate which in real life is not the case (against a properly tuned rwd with slicks)

Former Gran Tursismo fan... that has been missing out.
This is my introduction to Forza from being a Gran Turismo fan. The first 4 Gran Turismo games were each better than the one before, then the 5th one was horrible. When I finished it (in one day), I went back to the store to make sure I hadn't purchased a demo by mistake. That one was so bad that I gave up on the series. Sadly, this was the ONLY game keeping me on the PlayStation format. Now that I have an Xbox One, I decided to try Forza. Forza 6 was just about to be released, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get used to this release first. Wow... what a difference. This game is so much more involved than Gran Turismo ever was. The graphics are incredible, and the whole experience has made me wonder why it took me so long to try Forza.

Impressive.... to non Forza players.
There have definitely been some better Forza games out there. I have number 2,3,4,and this is 5, of coarse. The driving physics aren't very good on this one, it's back to driving like you have bald tires on a hockey rink that's covered with marbles. There are assist if you find it too difficult, but then it's way too easy. They're also back to making you get a law degree in order to know what car can be used on what track. They don't even tell you what the qualifications are for using a car on a particular track, so if you spend a whole lot of money making a car the way you thought it needed to be, you may find that you've wasted a whole lot of money. But that's all the downside of this game. The good things about this game are mainly the AI. The opponents you race on this one are "drivatars." The game compiles records of how you drive and turns that data into a drivatar, which it puts into other people's games so that they are racing opponents that drive like real humans. It's very nice that you are only as likely to wipe out as one of your opponents, because, like most Forza games, you're going to wipe out a lot.All that being said, if this were my first Forza game, I would be impressed. Knowing what I know about it now that I own it, though, I would have waited for Forza six to come out if I had to buy it again.
