Evidence Security Bags, Crime Scene Evidence Container, 6" x 8", 100 Pack

I have been buying this item for the last 6 years since I joined my company. Yes, we use it for work. We are not in law enforcement but we do require that some items in our line of work, be sealed and made sure they are not tampered with. This batch for some reason is defective. When you try to remove the tab to seal the bag, part of the glue comes off and then the word "VOID" appears. Now, that defeats the whole purpose of this item, does it? Understandably, some products can become defective, for a number of reasons (new manufacturer, bad glue, whatever). I contacted the company directly Safariland back in April. I have the email trail. Fast forward to today, October 17, this issue still has not been resolved. Tried to work with them in having the product replaced (100 bags) and had to follow up every week with their Product Manager. After 2 months or so, he finally said they are still looking for a new supplier and could not give me an estimate on when they can replace the item. Mind you, initially he gave us 2 options, get a refund or replace the item (and said may take 4 weeks or so). Since we really needed the item and was not in a hurry, we opted for the latter. After what seemed like lack of action on their part, we finally decided to just get the refund and buy another batch (from a totally different supplier). Lo and behold, getting the refund is still like pulling teeth. Mind you, I had reiterated several times to them via phone call and email that I would hate for someone else to have this problem especially the law enforcement group or any legal group and have Safariland drag this until the end of time it seems. Also just to note, the Product Manager verified that all their tamper evident bags of this size of this batch has the same issue. He verified it against what they have in stock at the warehouse. This is after he asked me to send him a sample so he can see for himself what the issue was. Not only have I spent money on shipping (my company's money) so Safariland can actually rectify the issue, their lack of customer service is beyond comprehensible. SO PLEASE, do not order this item. AMAZON should just remove them from as a seller.
