Wolfgang Puck Organic French Onion Soup, 14.5 oz. Can (Pack of 12)

I am not a canned soup fan. I had a delicious butternut squash soup at a fancy restaurant in town months ago, and I saw Wolfgang Puck had a canned version at our grocery store. I try soups once in a while in can, but I have never liked them. I decided to try their butternut squash... it was awesome. I bought a case on Amazon, and decided to try the french onion soup as well; I love a GOOD french onion soup, but I guess I am a soup snob, I only like it 1 out of every 5 restaurants I try it at. Although again, never had a canned version that was palatable. This soup is fantastic. Easy to have a nice soup at home, without a big fuss. I add croutons and mozzerella to the top before microwaving.

I use this as the base for a fabulous oven baked delight. I never just use the soup alone...I toast up an english muffin or some nice crusty bread and put it on top of an oven safe cup of the soup, shred some cheese over the whole thing, bake for 10 min...and YUMMM!If you want an easy french onion soup, this is it. It's also organic and makes you feel a bit better about what went into it in the first place.

I had this soup about 10 years ago and thought it was fantastic. Could not find it since. I was psyched to find it on Amazon. But was not as good as I remember it. I will use it as a base for chili or gravy.

I purchased this soup for a quick lunch. Flavor ok, but I prefer Campbell's condensed french onion soup. Campbell's has a much better flavor, more onions and a whole lot cheaper!!!

I was excited to try the french onion soup because it is probably my favorite kind of soup. It was very disappointing. It tasted like mildly sweet water and that is it. Maybe it would be better with some red wine added, but that's not really the point of pre-made soup. I couldn't finish the bowl. Very disappointed that I have an expensive case of soup that I won't eat.
