I wasn't expecting much from this inexpensive little product, but boy was I pleased. And so was my dog. This raincoat looks great, fits well, and is thoroughly water resistant. Super easy to put on, also. Just one velcroed fabric band around her neck/chest and one wider one over her belly. No tricky straps to adjust. Just a simple, sleek, attractive fit.Its wide velcro belly band is big enough to fit a quite hefty dog, but cinches down easily to fit my very slender 32-pound girl.The light fleecy lining is just right for a cool, but not cold, day. Looks great. Works great. What more needs saying?

I have been using for approx one year on an akita whom is now over 100 lbs. I bought 3xl when he was 7 mths. The velcro can be adjusted with growth and it keeps his back dry. I also use a harness with an extension connector to his collar. If you put it on correct and snug it will not slide. Great fit.

Purchased a XXL for my F1 standard bernedoodle (approx 80lbs) and it fits well. The coat ends a couple of inches before her tail. Keeps her back mostly dry in the PNW rain & snow but does not cover her stomach, so we still need to towel dry.Purchased another XXL for my cattle dog/staffie mix (70-75lbs) and it covers him to the base of his tail.Overall decent construction and doesn’t soak through.

I haven't actually had a chance to use this yet as I apparently bought it the day after the rainy season ended, duh, but I'm giving it 5 stars anyway just based on first impressions. It looks really sharp on my Amstaff, it is very lightweight and clearly breathable, and it has great coverage. The undercarriage is the most important aspect since most of the water and dirt lands there as they kick it up when walking. I run my own pet care business, so I deal with a lot of different dogs, and have the opportunity to witness their jackets in action. Some have really lightweight jackets, but they are flimsy and dont stay in place well. Others have heavy duty jackets, but they are cumbersome and of course heavy. I haven't tested the water resistance with this jacket yet, but I'm assuming that they wouldn't market it as a rain jacket if it didn't repel water. I also agree with the hood concept; it's a stupid idea and not a necessary accessory. The majority of dogs dislike having something foreign on top of their head in the first place. Secondly, the hood is either too big so it just covers their eyes, or their ears are to big for the hood to stay in place properly; you would have to cut slits in the hood for their ears to poke thru. This is a great option imo and the price is right.

I chose this particular coat mainly because it doesn't have a hood. A hood on a dog coat seems silly, and just likely to annoy the dog. This coat feels like good quality, with a waterproof shell and fleecy lining. For our dog, it fits a big loosely, but I think that's good. It's comfortable and easy to put on. This is very important because he HATES it! I'm trying to train him to let me put it on when it's raining because he loves to be outside, but comes in soaking wet over and over throughout the day. With this, I do have to chase him down, but you can get it in place very quickly with the velcro across the chest and under the torso. There is a lot of velcro to overlap, so it's adjustable and easy to match up when your dog is squirming to get away. He's slowly getting accustomed to the coat, and I like not having to towel him off every time he comes in from the rain.

I wanted to review this now because before I purchased the XL I asked if people recommended ordering true to size or one size up - and I got mixed answers, so I ordered XL because the GSD has a 28" chest. I put it on her - yes, it fits, but.... when exercising watch how your dog's chest area and rib cage expands. My last GSD would pop her coat off in the front chest area as soon as she pulled on the leash. So I am willing this rain jacket over to my Malinois who is a bit smaller, fits comfy, and with chest expansion will do fine, and I will be ordering the XXL for the German Shep so she doesn't pop the velcro when exercising. I believe this is the key issue when figuring what size to order. I also poured some water on the top of the coat and let it sit and no problem with it seeping through, so I'll say it is waterproof. It has a small flap over the opening for a leash off collar. Stitching is neat and even.

This coat does help some in the rain and I like that it helps him be more visible It is easy to get on and off, but hair goes get stuck in the velcro and has to be cleaned out from time to time. The sizing seems to be a bit small for my larger-chested dog and so I did have to return the first purchase and reorder the next size up, but I am glad I did. I was also able to use this jacket to prevent him for chewing on wound on his side until it was able to heal. He seemed comfortable wearing it full time for a week or so.

Color, fit, lining, comfort & closures, wereSpot on. Have a female Great Dane 115’sNeck 28” chest 38” who hates RAIN. Hopefully she will Love it as much as her winter and Spring/Fall Jackets…. The length & width fit her perfectly.

So I read the reviews before I ordered which all were good but suggested to size up because it runs small trigger is a Small/medium sized dog as you can see in the photo I took the advice and ordered up I got him an extra large and it fits perfect and it’s super cute He doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable or hate it it’s great for keeping the belly cleaned that’s the whole reason I bought it

Medium did not fit my dog (pug X) I measured her correctly and based my order on those measurements. It was a very snug fit...too snug and it had to go into the donations bag. Just as a guide, a large would fit a Pug...just saying

The fit for a lab was true to the chart measurements, it looks great, is a good product.

This item arrived in a timely fashion. It is worth your time to do the measurement required. Our jacket fits our dog perfectly. Material is nice and the fluorescence colour would great in early morning walks. I would recommend this item.
