Great unit
This is a giant leap from the ve 2 I had previously with excellent voice enhancing features. It does not have guitar input to automatically set key for harmonies but it has a lot of user presets so you could save a patch for each key if needed. Harmonies are quite realistic. Great for boosting low mike signals and tayloring sound.

Awesome kit
Ordered it yesterday and was delivered around lunch time. Opened and tested it and was also able to use it on our band practice , it worked amazingly. Very happy with it

Good sounding, with notable UI improvements over the VE20.
I'll start with 4 stars because I still have to live with this a while. My use case is backing vocals in a disco/funk band, plus doing some audience chat between numbers. For my usage, there are two notable improvements to this unit over its predecessor, the V20. Firstly, the ease with which the unit can be bypassed, essential for audience comms between numbers; secondly, the ease with which harmonising and doubling can be switched on and off when necessary. The V20 was awkward in both these respects.Sound quality is very good, with crystal clear effects and pass thru. Noise is as good as indiscernible, even at high volumes. Moving between patches is easy enough, with three large, solid, and responsive stomp buttons. The display is bright and clear, viewable with ease when the unit is on the floor; essential for live use.Battery life is good (I have a pathological hatred of external PSUs and barrel connectors), giving a good 6/7 hours of use time on fresh batteries (I use Envelop rechargeable successfully). Important in this respect is that you get very clear and timely indication of low battery status. I reckon you get a good two hours notice that your batteries are running low, with the notification repeated periodically if you chose to ignore it first time around. No danger of the thing shutting down mid set unless you're really dozy!Editing is easy enough using the onboard UI, but I feel a trick has been missed in not providing a suitable desktop UI for editing; something like that provided by Line 6 for their Helix units.Effects are high quality and certainly more than adequate for live use. Reverbs and delays are rich and sweet sounding, and choruses/phasers/flangers range from subtle to outrageous. The diatonic harmoniser sounds great, with good tracking and natural sounding higher register voices. For my uses, a simple 12 major and relative minor keys with doubling and thirds, plus straight doubling, are all I require from the harmoniser and it delivers by the bucketload. I would have liked some kind of single button, 'step thru', layered patch facility for songs that modulate, without the necessity of changing keys manually by selecting a different patch, which can be a clunky if the keys are several chromatic steps apart, maybe in version 2? I suppose I could arrange some patches in numerical order, but again, the ability to group patches into some kind of macro would make life a lot easier.I'm not a looper, so I can't really comment on this facility, other than to assume that audio quality is as good as the rest of the unit.So far very pleased. Maybe when I've lived with the unit for a few more gigs I can come back with that fifth star.
