Great Product.. until it stopped working from a loose connection
I had been using this with my Galaxy Note 4 and my Audio Technica ath-m50x's, have to say I was pretty pleased with the results. This product was the first of its kind I'd seen for such an affordable price, I tried it on my friends Xperia, my Note 2 and 4 and all worked plug and play no issues. The only thing I had issues with was the keyboard functionality when it was plugged in, but I'm sure I could of worked it out with android 5.1The sound itself was richer and i didn't feel the need to use loads of EQ's anymore to achieve the sound i wanted, it was a product ideal if you wanted to push your headphones that little bit further. However after a few weeks use i'm sad to say the connecting cable had a loose connection, i had been so careful to ensure the cable was never under any pressure and I was gutted when this happened.Never the less i was refunded and i will be keeping my eye out for a second model if they release one, would love to see this released with higher durability

great sound but issues.
Bought this for a samsung S5 as the native sound is poor. Initially I was very impressed with the clarity of the sound - rich bass, crisp highs, very noticibly improved. However, there were two factors that made the product unsatisfactory. Firstly, the DAC cannot be used at the same time as charging the phone - even with a USB hub - I tried three sorts. The DAC tended to drain the battery a lot quicker than just using the headphone jack. Secondly, the sound cut out and crackled every few minutes, making the listening difficult. It wasn't due to a dodgy connection, but more of an electronic noise. This was only for a fraction of a second, but nevertheless it spoilt the songs. I'm not sure if this was because of the phone doing something else in the background (checking emails?) or whether the product is faulty, but I had to return the product in the end.

Did not work with Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
I could not get this to work with my phone (Sony Xperia Z5 Premium) - even after updating the Nexum firmware according to the manufacturers instructions. When the Nexum was connected, the phone gave an error "too much power was being drawn from the USB port, disconnecting all devices", so I suppose that the Z5 is not powerful enough to run it. I returned the device for a refund, which was given.

Another dead DAC
Started out wonderfully. Really loved the sound, the size and everything about it; would have given it five stars...until it stopped working. Purchased it in October, dead by December, just outside the return cut-off point.Have plugged it into my phone, tablet and followed the support advice on the Nexum website, but to no avail: it's not coming back. Extremely dissapointed as I have really looked after it: no using it on the move, just seated at my desk at work and kept in a hard case when not in use. No way of contacting Nexum on their website either. In future I think I'll buy from a more established company. In summary: Great idea, flaky quality. Not worth risking the money in my opinion.

After 1 week of usage, it stopped working. It won't turn or or give any sign of life no matter where I and how connect it to, with or without the adapter.... TERRIBLE!! I want a refund!

Works with BB Priv but not with Z5 compact
Ordered it on indigogo, and mostly I'm happy with it. It works with my Blackberry Priv and the sound quality is better than what it would be without it. Though mostly it feels that it is only amplifying the sound rather than the richness of sound. It does not work with Sony xperia z5 compact.
