Morning Fires, Evening Lights: The Marlboro Country Cookbook Hardcover – January 1, 1987

This is one of the first Marlboro cookbooks I own. The recipes are great but it's the photography that draws your attention. The additions to the books like postcards, posters, etc. is a unique bit of marketing, but sets the books above others. I have heard from a relative in the publishing industry that they have sets of Marlboro cookbooks because they are compiled and produced so well.

I received the original book, titled, High Country Cookbook, from a relative who saved her Marlboro Miles for it. It was privately published. I had been searching for years for another copy to give to my sister for her extensive cookbook collection. So you can imagine my joy when I found it here at Amazon. The recipes are colorful and delicious! Priding myself as an experienced cook I couldn't do without many of these recipes. By the way my sister also loves it! Another must for the cook who wants some variety.

Love the book. It has a nice summary of all one needs to know about cuts of beef, use of herbs, and how to buy peppers. It is nicely presented with colored photos and organized in a way makes it easy to reference.

I had been looking for this book to acompnay one of the other Marlboro Cookbooks that I own.As I expected, the recipes are all pretty good, and there is a wide variety of types, most of which are easy to make at home with basic kitchen equipment and cooking skills.

i have the other one in the coleection, this is the second one. the are great cook books easy to follow etc and great food. the rider's nachos are great. the chili cooks's burgers are my favorite.

The Marlboro cookbooks are fabulous. I've made many of the recipes, and many have become favorites. This cookbook series does not disappoint.

After making 3 different recipes from this book, it more than paid for itself. I have a LOT of cook books, so my husband questioned why I needed another one. I have been given permission to get more cookbooks. Good job cowboys and cooks!

My girlfriend told me this book would make a great Christmas gift and she is definitely right on. She will have to vouch for the recipes but the book itself is GORGEOUS! If you want a great gift book the presentation is really great, the recipes are well organized and the couple we tried worked out fab. It is just one of those cook books that is a lot more than a cook book if you know what I mean. :)
