Burgon & Ball GTH/SFTRHS Rockery Trowel

I surprised my mother with this tool; another entry in her B&B collection. She planted a considerable number of bulbs with it. Made it a breeze for her and her mild arthritis and carpal tunnel. Quite a substantial trowel. Would be very hard to bend. Length gives considerable leverage. Working with hand shovel in clay normally leaves her hands tired, sore, and aching. Nary a complaint from her this fall. Satisfied with all Burgon & Ball garden tools she has, so far.

This trowel has sharp edges the entire area surrounding the handle and can potentially cut your hand while using. Very poor quality control for an expensive tool.I contacted the manufacturer and their response is “it slipped through our quality control”I understand if I am not satisfied I may return the product for a refund or exchange. This is inconvenient. I may as well file off the sharp edges myself even if it takes me an hour with a file I’m quite sure that if I exchanged it I would get the same sharp edges!
