Not completely heatproof if you hold something removed from the oven too long you can feel the heat coming through, but much better than the slip on mitts, much less likely for things to slip out your hands.The paperwork that comes with the gloves gives the threshold time at which the inner surface of the gloves becomes uncomfortable for the user as 55 to 68s at 100C, 21 to 23s at 250C, 16 to 18s at 350C and 12 to 15s at 500C.

The description is totally incorrect. These are only heat level 3 gloves (from the manufacturers own labels) and so therefore only withstand heat up to 662degF (350degC). Other than that they are well made gloves albeit rather large for my hands.

Not sure how hot they can go, but they certainly let me reconfigure the cast iron grids on my BBQ at temps in excess of 350c. If you hold hot stuff for a long time, the heat will eventually come through, but thats just common sense. In practice I have no problems holding hot stuff from the BBQ or casseroles etc from the oven.They are pretty comfortable with a good grip on slippy stuff. The cuff comes quite high up your arm which is great if you have to reach deep into the oven for stuff at the back or between closely spaced shelves.

Great fit. Particularly like the tactile feel of the fingers that enable you to feel and safely handle meat probes. Had no issues with the quality of the heat resistance during some pretty fierce BBQ heat. The cuffs are a good length providing good wrist protection. comprehensive washing and care instructions - I am expecting the gloves to last a very long time. Really good product at a very competitive price. I have inspected some of the more well-known and daft priced competitor gloves and think these are great value gloves without compromising quality. I highly recommend them.

My wife was delighted with these gloves. She suffers trigger fingers in one hand so the conventional oven mitts are totally unsuitable. These gloves fitted snugly, even easier having warmed a little. Most importantly their use will allow improved safety with the special grip pads.Clearly, the gloves have been designed by an experienced user, and just to top it all off, we received them within 2days, which was beyond expectation. Great bbq kitShould ave bought these years ago. Can now lift grating, move smoke box, insert thermometers etc. with complete safety. Quite large (I have UK 8 sizes hands) and roomy so perhaps not much good for women with small hands as will probably be too cumbersome. Also great for managing the fire pit. Material quality is excellent.Superb after sales follow up and advice on safe bbqing.

Very poor product1. The inner lining keeps moving every time it is removed from the hand2. frequent hot spots when using.3. Extremely poor fitting4. Any splashes of liquid go straight to the carriers hand due to the loose weave of the fabric.

I have stupid small hands (size 6 in gloves) so got the kids size, short on the fingers at first but you can wash them and stretch the fingers so now they fit perfect. Really confortable fit and great for holding pan handles, getting stuff out the oven etc.. I have a bakers mitt also and these are not as good as the mitt i.e, heat penetrates quicker, but only by a fraction and I would recommend them. Double sided too so you don’t have to worry about putting on the wrong glove on the wrong hand!Great to use by the BBQ too as you can turn and move bits with ease unlike a mitt.
