Easy for young kids to control!
I bought 2 I’d these, 1 blue & 1 red for the boys I watch. They’re 5 year old twins and they loved them as soon as they opened them. They work great and are a lot of fun to play with. They are easy enough for them to learn how to use the remote and have a great time playing with them. The only issue I found was the battery. I didn’t know it took a 9 volt which is not a standard battery people have in their house. This may have been my fault because maybe I didn’t see it on the package but I think if a toy needs that kind or battery it should come with it. Even if they charge a little more for the item. Just my opinion. Otherwise I’m very happy with this purchase!

They Were a Hit!
Bought a black and a red Thunder Tumbler Toy RC for the grandkids (ages 12 and 5) for Thanksgiving to keep them out of the busy kitchen. Batteries in and off they went........straight to the kitchen! A few choice words from Dad and I took the boys and their new toys outside. These cars ran on the grass, the sidewalk, the asphalt, the hardwood floors and the carpet. They were appropriate for both the boys' ages. And by the way, after dinner, Dad and the Uncle were racing them. This was a good buy! Thanks.

My grandsons 3 and 4 loved them. They jump and twirl
My grandsons 3 and 4 loved them. They jump and twirl, everything. Plus, I got the ones with two separate frequencies so they can be used at the same time. However: 1) the remotes are the same. Hence, once they are set down you don't know which goes for which unless you mark them. The boys thought they had stopped working, 2) The antenna for one broke within the first few days just with normal operation. It is still usable, but the metal is now exposed as the plastice protective covering broke off. Therefore, I have little confidence that they will both together have the ability to use both at the same time. This was my primary reason for buying them as they have other remotes but they are on the same frequencies and therefore can not be used simultaneously. They use a lot of batteries. I ordered Amazon's full boxes of the two batteries required. Unfortuately such young children don't turn off the trucks even thou the light is on. A buzzer or some sort of autiomatic shut off would be a real improvement especially when you are purchasing the TWO and all these batteries.

Holding up well
My five year old loves this thing as well as the rest of the neighbors. My daughter is five, but the neighbors vary in age from 2 to 8 and they all love it. They can all use it without too much trouble and the battery has lasted a long time so far! Just make sure to turn both the remote and the truck to off after use. I'm really surprised how well it's holding up with all the hits it has taken. I think only one part broke off, but still good to go.

What a complete waste of money
I bought one of these at Target, and it worked for a day, but then the plastic cover broke off from the antenna on the car. The antenna on the remote control snapped, but didn't break off all the way. I thought it was due to rough play by the neighbor boy. So, to placate my granddaughter, I ordered from Amazon, along with the red version for her brother so they could race. Neither of them will move! they light up, and a wheel might spin a little if you hold them upside down, but neither has the strength to move the car at all, and the batteries have been switched out several times. What a complete waste of money, and a big disappointment for two very excited kids.

Big hit
I bought a pair of these for my granddaughters for Christmas. They were soon racing them around the living room and dining room. They especially liked making them spin like tops. They said they were "magical". Will have to wait and see how durable they are but so far they survived a day with a 5 year old and an 8 years old. The cars seem like they are built for the challenge though.
