Works as described
This product works just as described. I was able to hook up my laptop computer to my Roku TV (which does not have HDMI ports but only the RCA ports) and display screens on my computer to my TV.

Good Functionality, High Price - VHS/DVD Converter
This video capture device effectively converts VHS tapes and other analog video formats to digital. It worked as advertised, allowing me to digitize my old home videos. However, the price point is quite high for what it offers. While the functionality is good, the cost makes it a less appealing option compared to some competitors.

reliable and affordable
I recently used this converter, and it worked perfectly for connecting my older devices to a modern tv. The setup was straightforward, with clear instructions and no complicated installation. The picture and sound quality were impressive, with minimal loss in quality despite the conversion. Overall, this converter is a reliable and affordable solution for bringing old tech into the digital age!

An ok cheap option.
If you're looking for something that will last, I would go elsewhere. I've only used the dongle a handful of times, but it feels flimsy and like it's about to pop in half. The picture downscaling wasn't terrible, but for the price, I would choose a better option.

Simple adapter for older car infotainment
One of my vehicles is a mid 00's Chevy truck that has a factory fold down screen in the back. For road trips we wanted to make use of that again but next to nothing uses RCA anymore. Picked this up so we could adapt it to a roku that we can run off a phone hotspot. Seems to do the trick. For the small screen the resolution isn't bad. We can even feed it 1080p and text is readable. Movies play fine from it and the sound is clear and not buzzy or crackly like other adapter I've used before. Seems to do the job and we're happy with it.

Great functionality, but some baffling quirks
Technical info: Chip inside is a Macro Silicon MS 1836SGetting your PC to output to an old CRT TV is a really cool thing. Somehow it makes old media feel more authentic to play over a CRT.This, overall, does a really good job of making your old stuff look good on a tube TV. The picture is bright and colorful, and for the gamers out there, I couldn't detect any sort of input lag after a bunch of back and forth testing with Hollow Knight (btw: Hollow Knight isn't a great showcase of this product - The game won't output in fullscreen 4:3 and low resolutions in HK look super blurry). I'd like to play around with this more to see what else (besides old anime and retro games/emulators) looks good. I'm sure some of the new indie pixel games would look good on a CRT.It's not in the listing, but the package advertises that in addition to converting HDMI to composite, this product can convert composite to HDMI. This is not correct. I don't know why it says this, but I tried and tried and couldn't get it to work, and I couldn't find anything in the chip data sheet that says it could do this. This isn't something I want it to do, but I thought it was worth mentioning that this isn't some secret use case - It just can't do this. The only con I've found is how this unit handles overscan. Tube TVs, by design, cut off a bit of the image for various picture quality reasons that are only really relevant to them. Not only does this not have any sort of compensation mode I could find, it actually makes the problem worse by overscanning slightly. Various tests determined the amount overscanned to be proportional to 10-15 pixels' worth off each side on a 1920x1080 picture, with the left and top duplicating a few pixels near the edge, which isn't a lot but depending on the overscan of your TV that can send anime subtitles halfway or more offscreen. This can be compensated for in various ways (including, on Linux, messing around with X window system/CVT modelines, something even experienced users don't want to touch) but it strikes me as odd that no only is there no builtin compensation toggle but the device actually makes it slightly worse.

Works great in van for rear video for the kids, built-in cables are convenient
I wanted to use this in a van from 2013 which has a component input for the built-in screen the kids can watch movies on. I was looking for a solution that would be compact and allow for a Roku stick to be used. This product is lightweight and compact. While I'm usually not a fan of built-in wires, this works well for my case as I didn't want much extra slack in the wires, given where this would have to sit in the van. After hooking everything up and using a cigarette adapter for the USB power, everything is working great. I may look into getting a right-angle adapter for the USB micro for power, so it runs along the box instead of sticking out of it, but that's not a big deal.Overall, this works great at helping to make older technology work easily with HDMI devices.
