Even my Husband installed it!!
Well made ,sturdy and easy to install (Even by my husband who is not exactly the best at DIY) A good fit for 4 steps ... His comments follow. All instructions provided and easy to follow along with diagrams and appear to be fool proof. Box inside package included everything needed including drill and screw driver bits as well as a small spirit level. Once rails were loosely assembled the ensemble was positioned in it's final place, position of post base plates marked, position of anchor holes then marked and concrete block paving drilled with supplied drill bit. Anchors hammered in, nut and washer put onto protruding anchor thread and everything secured. Took less than 2 hours including mandatory Tea break.Points to bear in mind. 1) Be careful of all the staples on the opening edge of the main box. I moved them with pincers first. 2) Instructions state anchor holes to be drilled no closer than 1 1/2 inches to the edges of concrete. Could n't quite do it with block paving but it is very stable. 3) Instructions suggest that the holes drilled with the supplied drill bit were tight for the anchors and suggested some peope used the next size bit (3/8). I tried a trial hole with a bigger bit and it was too loose but the hole drilled with the supplied (5/16) bit was fine. 4) When hammering anchors in hole instructions suggest placiing 2 nuts and washers on thread first so you don't hammer it in too far. If you do this make sure the top nut just covers the thread so you don't inadvetantly damage the thread at the top. 5). When screwing nuts on anchoor use the pencil vertically to hold the base plate cover out of the way. 6) Congratulate yourself on getting a good quality hand rail at a sensible price.

No hesitation in recommending this product.
The installation instructions, guides and fixings which are all included are the best I have ever experienced. The product itself now it's fitted, feels good quality and sturdy. Therefore from an average DIYer I'd have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Good - but watch out if fitting onto flags
Got the job of installing for an elderly friend. Very impressed when it arrived. Pack was heavy, quality felt good. Came with little ruler and spirit level and even a pencil. Instruction looked OK and there is a QR code for online instructions. assembly went well and pretty straightforward BUT.... I have a problem with the fixing supplied. 2 types sent one for screwing into wood and one for concrete. I was fitting onto flags so carefully marked and drilled holes used concrete fixings. The kit seems to be American where I don;t think flags are as common as the UK. The issue is the 'gripping' part of bolt is below the depth of the flag, meaning fixings were useless and offered little support. I raided my bolt collection and got better ones but couldn't get some of old bolts out so I had to angle grind off and then move an inch to right and redrill. These made it better but still not perfect. I accept that if I had solid concrete the fixings would likely have worked. Overall good for price but consider getting advise from local hardware store if using on flags

2 person operation to bolt down.
It is of good finish, but really needs two people to put together and drill holes for the feet, even if you start with the lower step holes and bolt is down, you will need a second person to hold the bars in place whilst you mark the holes for the top step, you will then need that second person to hold the rails in place whilst you bolt down that top step post.All-in-all though, it really does do a fine job and looks the business.
