these are perhaps the best this i have done for the sousvide setup. i use a 18pk size flip top igloo cooler and the fliptop resulted in water condensing and running all over the place. not nice. with the top open the water evaporated out and had to be refilled every couple hours. with these sousvide balls i ran a 36 hour run with no need for refill. also, according to the killawatt this uses much less power to maintain the temperature now. for me the cooler is dedicated to this purpose so i just drain the water into a large colander and toss the balls back in the cooler and store it till next time.
