Does not stay connected.
Upon pluging in the adaptor, the USB storage device gets recognised for a few seconds then disconnects immediatley. Tried in 2 cars with working USB ports because I use them for other media applications. Following the instructions in the manual to connect to the device's local Wifi and resetting to factory defaults has no effect. Rolling back firmware has no effect.Just doesn't do what it ways it should do.

Works well on my BMW Android Headunit
Had lots of problems with my existing CarPlay dongle, wireless and Bluetooth stopped working and kept disconnecting. Got this dongle and seems to be working well so far! Seems to be 90% reliable, the rest is probably down to the headunit or autokit app. Fixed most of my issues so worth the money paid

Carplay enables low end Android head units (obviously)
Many used car resellers are retrofitting Android Head Units to help sales (people see the big screen, perhaps a reversing cam etc and are impressed - the car seems higher spec). Unfortunately many of these units are low end with excruciatingly slow processors and limited RAM. I personally inherited a 4 core 2GB RAM unit that claims to have 32 GB storage but only has 16 GB (yes - these low end units include software that actually lies about their internal specifications!). My unit came with supposed screen mirroring (didn't work) and no carplay capability. Even worse, the fitter had not bothered to include the USB ports which came with the head unit. I wondered about simply throwing it away and replacing with something better, but this was going to cost time and money.Luckily I came across the CPC200-CCPA in my research. Having added the missing usb ports and attaching the dongle, what was a pretty useless unit is now a modern fully fledged in car entertainment and navigation system (i.e. Carplay emabled). The unit is more than capable of acting as a Carplay display while the iPhone handles everything else. The Autokit app is also pretty sophisticated and I've managed to set it to not autoplay music everytime the car starts (Carplay default). My only complaint is that it sometimes takes one or two attempts to connect to my iPhone (wirelessly), but it is reliable enough that this is not a big deal (for me). From what I have read, the dongle is much more reliable than many "Carplay ready" Android head units where Carplay support hasn't been prioritised/tested much by the manufacturer (unlike the autokit app + dongle).

Simply doesn't work
This is the second time try one of these units. Both have failed to connect using different phones and different headsets. Don't waste your money
