Good construction, quality components, all USB3
This was exactly what I needed. It provides 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB 3 ports, and SD and MicroSD reader, all running a USB 3 speeds.I'm happy to verify that the SD reader is in fact USB 3.0, and with a class-10 card I get 100MB/s read speed. The chip used is a Norelsys NS1081, which claims to support up to 2TB cards and max throughput of 200MB/s. (perhaps only when reading both cards at once?)The upper USB-C is a direct passthrough to the Type-E connector on your motherboard, so you get whatever speed your board is capable of. The other is part of the USB 3 hub, and plugs into the USB 3.0 20-pin motherboard header, so it's sharing that 5Mbit with other things you have plugged in.Construction quality is pretty good, and it looks nice.Do note that the builtin USB 3 hub requires a SATA power connector, and that it needs to be long enough to reach up into the front of the drive bay.

Great way to add USB ports but don't forget to power it up
I use an Icy Dock rack that allows hot-swap of two SSD's. Its really nice for moving data around or storing items. The rack that I use fits a 5-1/4 inch bay but has room for a 3-1/2 inch insert. This item provides for two more USB ports plus an additional type C USB port. My computer case only had two USB ports on the front so the additional ports was really nice. The only issue I had was that I needed to connect power to the insert. At first it wasn't obvious and on my first installation it didn't work. Closer inspection revealed a place to plug in power, and it worked! I really like it.

MicroSD and SDXC Randomly Disconnect - DO NOT BUY!
The MicroSD card and SDXC inputs randomly disconnect. I tested multiple cards from multiple manufacturers. The cards always randomly disconnected. Also, after I initially installed the item, the computer would not boot up. I pressed the "Power" button, but the screen remained frozen in black for over two minutes. I turned the computer off, and then turned it back on several times. Eventually, the computer did boot up. However, the very first time I tried inputting a microSD card, the card randomly disconnected. This confirms the negative things other people said in their 1-Star Ratings are true. Other people talked about how the poorly soldered connections on the device were the reason for the weak connections that randomly disconnect.Similarly, other people talked about how all of their installed hard drives were ruined from fluctuations in electric power as a result of this defective product from Grauger.Worst of all, other people talked about how their entire computers caught on fire. This is something I experienced THREE TIMES in the past with an HP printer/scanner/copier, so I know it can happen. It isn't worth having a fire hazard around. So, I am returning this product from Grauger to Amazon.I purchased this product in May of 2025 and the product requires the SDXC card to be "upside down." There is a sticker on the device saying so.Also, the product is designed poorly in fundamental ways. For example, if you put the SDXC card in first, it is virtually impossible to enter a microSD card into the device because the size of your thumb is too large to place the tiny card into such a small input such a short distance away from the SDXC input. Your thumb will keep hitting the SDXC card.Similarly, you look and see two USB 3.0 inputs and think that is good. But, you cannot connect two USB Flash Drives simultaneously, because the cards will collide with each other. Only very tiny USB devices would be able to be used simultansously.I'm very disappointed with this product from Grauger. I read the reviews before purchasing, and I saw the negative things in all the Ratings with "1-Star." But, I thought, "There are good reviews, too, so I will give it a chance."But, after personally seeing for myself the product failed with the random disconnects, there is no reason to risk a potential fire hazard. Grauger needs to completely redesign this product and make it better.

Good value for the options.
Everything works as expected. Speeds are satisfactory. Installation was easy and everything fit perfect. My only minor issue is with the design. It's not easy to see the card-reader slots since everything is black (maybe if they added a light internally to illuminate the open slots). Also if using a micro-sd (contact-side down) along with a regular SD card (contact-side up), you'll have to remove the SD-card first before you can pull the micro-SD since they're so close together to get a good grip.

Nice Upgrade
Great way to add some modern I/O to an older case. Everything works as expected at a decent price. My only complaint is that I would rather it have been 5.25 sized instead of 3.5, but nothing an adapter cant fix.

Recommended device for consolidating USB connections.
Installed simply enough. I've tested it on Linux (and Windows) and it is working well. It is really nice having all of the USB connections near each other at the front of my case. As it is a 3.5" form factor I used a 5.25" tray adapter. This is important -- it REQUIRES a SATA power connection to power the USB-A, microSD, and SD card slots. This is a physically small device with the SATA power connector near the front so its power connector will likely be farther away from your P/S and from the position of the SATA power connectors for your other devices. I used a SATA power splitter (like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ8RYD59) and used a couple of them to provide plenty of cable length to reach the front of this device and still reach my other SATA devices.

Very difficult to insert the SD card and it's NOT because it's inserted incorrectly.
This was the sort of device I wanted to upgrade my MediaPC that runs in a old Antec 900 case sitting behind a arm mounted 55" TV. I already had a small 3.5" 2 port USB 3.0 device installed so this was an easy swap out. Everything works but I have one fairly big frustration with it. The SD card is a pain insert. I'm not talking about the having to flip it upside down. The insertion of the card is not easy compared to EVERY other SD card reader I have used including two others in the house. This requires the card to be just right when inserting it. Instead of a quick 2 second insert it turns into a 30 second, turn on the light , look closely at it , carefully insert it into place. I'm tech savvy and very coordinated but this SD reader is a pain to use. Almost want to return it because this was one of my main desires was this PC to have easy access to all my cameras.
