SwitchBot Hub 2 (2nd Gen) and Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds, Compatible with Apple Homekit, Alexa, Google Assistant, Link SwitchBot to Wi-Fi (Support 2.4GHz),

I have automated six blinds that's have worked fairly well for many years. One of them mechanisms failed! I reluctantly decided to try SwitchBot Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds. Reluctantly because it was cheaper and operated in a completely different manner. To my surprise, the switchbot was easier to install! Twice as easy to connect, program and has operated flawlessly. I am impressed. I don't know how long it's going to but, at this price it will be easy to replace! I am very pleased.

Everything in my smart home is HomeKit based, decided to try these out for some blinds that are over a stairway, and cannot be reached without a ladder. We wanted them to close at night, but open in the morning. This thing works pretty well for that, but the way to set it up with HomeKit (Matter) is 'meh' at best. It does work, I've never had the device go unresponsive. It doesn't, however, properly report fully open. HomeKit shows it as 'opening' and the SwitchBot app shows it at 98% open. There's really nothing I can change on the HomeKit side to fix this discrepancy, and it only happens when I open the blinds with HomeKit. Closing works fine and reports correctly. The way the Matter integration is setup is tedious, I would really like better native support for Matter.
