I will be given something similar if I visited A&E but who would want to go to a hospital in the peak of a pandemic. I thank this Amazon seller to send this Walker boot quickly to me to fix my twisted ankle.The item is made of sturdy plastic material. I like the design of the sole because it is non-slip and its thickness is designed for easy mobility. There are three thick adjustable straps to make sure my ankle is fixed - Good and Firm. The interrior of the boot lies a detachable layer of durable foam that provides adequate cushioning and comfort to my painful leg. I found there may be gaps between my leg and the boot, fortunately, the box comes with three extra cushion pads to these weak spots.There is no hazzle in putting on and off the boot. The ease of use is ceratinly welcome by an injured person. More impotantly, It served the purpose of fixing my ankle in position effectively.

The boot is comfortable and holds my broken foot bone very well. Helps walking enormously even on uneven surfaces. Very easy to adjust.

I bought this as a second boot for indoor use after four weeks of wearing a long, rigid walker boot for a broken ankle (it's a stable fracture and I only have to use a boot for two more weeks).The main reason that I bought it was that it is really difficult to clean the sole, etc, of the long boot supplied by the hospital to a standard where I'd be happy to wear it in the house (particularly in bed!) Also, as I am gradually increasing how long I can walk for, I found that my shin and upper part of my leg were getting discomfort from the pressure and chafing, so I thought having a second boot to use while indoors, resting, and so on, would give some relief. Even if it had created a lot of pressure, I hoped it wouldn't be in exactly the same spots!It has turned out very well for this purpose. The adjustment of the straps is very important to ensure adequate support with this boot, because it doesn't have as much rigid plastic as my original one. Also, the plastic does not seem as hard.In my circumstances, I would not wear this outdoors, or to do any energetic work in the flat, but it's doing a fine job for ordinary indoor life - moving around, sleeping, resting. It's a lot more comfortable for sitting at a desk, too, where the long boot dug in just below the knee and made long spells of sitting unpleasant.

The size is too big for me

I recently broke the metatarsal just below my little toe on my left foot. I was given a knee-length orthotic boot at my local Minor Injuries Unit, which was excellent, but as the weather got warmer I started to really struggle with how hot it was to wear. I decided to see if I could get something of equal quality online and found this boot on Amazon. It works exactly like the NHS issue boot, and has enabled me to get around a bit more easily because without the rigid supports of the full length boot it is easier to move my leg and get up and down stairs. It's perhaps not quite so robust as the NHS version, but it has certainly done the job it was made for, which is protect and support the broken bone, plus it's so much cooler to wear in terms of the heatwave we're currently experienced (July 2019). All in all, for what I paid, I think it is excellent value.

After suffering a type 3 sprain 2 weeks before Christmas, I was desperate to get some kind of mobility, so as not to ruin my fiances christmas, so was very happy to find this boot on Amazon, which helps with acute sprains. Waited with anticipation for its arrival, as my birthday was on the 23rd of December and it arrived as promised for then. However! When my fiance finished reading all the instructions and tried to get it on, it was agonising, so much that I ended up in floods of tears. The boot was Sooo! Tight, it was crushing the side of my Ankle and that was agony. We had to give up. On christmas day I was rushed to the hospital as my foot and ankle were so swallon. I spoke with the nurse and asked about the use of a boot and she actually said that for sprains they are not good, as the foot and ankle need to strengthen and keeping it rigid, is not beneficial, because the tendons and surrounding tissue etc, become stiff and the only way to help them, is to do the excercise, as given by them and although takes quite some time and swelling can reocur after each excercise, to make sure the ankle and foot strengthen back up, you have to persevere with it.The seller was very quick to respond to our message and offered a refund minus the original postage and the cost of return, so although we lost our postage both ways, we did get a refund for the boot, so we were happy to get a refund for the item.Personally I would recommend talking to your doctor first, before buying, just in case like myself this is not suitable for your type of sprain. 1 star has to be from me, as it wasn't suitable , so not of any use. It did look like it had been well made if that is any help and I am sure for some it works, as other reviewers suggest.I hope this review helps you to make an informed decision and it is a review purely based on my experience with this item and not a slight on the seller, as they were very helpful.

This worked well. Unfortunately, this was bought for a likely fractured ankle at a point over Xmas where the waits in A&E locally were beyond anything I’ve ever seen before and ambulances were queuing outside and corridors full of trollies. We bought this and he was at least relatively mobile and the pain more manageable. I absolutely don’t recommend being in this situation at all. I absolutely don’t recommend using one of these without seeking medical review because a doctor will tell you whether you can weight bear or not and I hope you’re never in this situation.
